Hello,
Is there anyway in any soft-sampler to automate the sample end point toward the start point while looping? So say you would have a looping vocal that says "CUBASE" repeating... then as it loops it would get shorter untill it was just the C repeating. Ive heard this effect before... can Halion do this? If not do you know a way to do it? Thanks for your help!

This is possibly the only thing samplers like Kontakt can't do

forgive me I'm not sure but I think fruity loops might be able to do that, check with its granular sampler cause all you need to do is automate it maybe, or its slicer sampler or maybe even its regular sampler. and it's cheap, check it out and sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I were searching this effect one year ago too
Because some hardcore and many hardstyle producers use it in their tracks hehe Yes many use Natives Kontakt for it...

Slifty can do this:

You can do this with Kontakt. Just set a controller to modulate the loop length with a negative value. I've got a sample of Bill Clinton going right now and as I move the mod wheel up towards the top it gets shorter and shorter until it's just a buzz. Great fun. -jsd-
