Hi- I've got these sets of zipped files- ones like *.DSD , the rest are .wav samples. I'm trying to load this to N-track studio as a VST instrument but I can't figure out how thats supposed to happen. N-track has a directory for VST instruments, but just pasting these files there doesn't seem to do it. What is the .dsd file- does this ring a bell?
I got these files from someone on another forum but then they seemed to get some qualms about intellectual property or something and shut down their site. So before I toss out these tasty samples I thought maybe someone here could help. Thanks in advance.

vst's have .dll files these need to go in the vst directory then they will work.

That might be why you're having problems with these files. Are they BOUGHT vsts?

They might be FREE files. There's lots of these around as well.
On the other hand, they might be dedicated to one host. I did a search for .dsd but found nothing. As xanda123 said, on the PC a vst has .dll extention. On the mac I believe it's .vst other than that you're out of luck I'm afraid. (but search the KvR database for vst(i)'s. There's plenty stuff around, free and cheap) |
