Where can I find information on how to create real VST's like Z3TA & Albino2? I want to learn how to create real VST's not ones that are built using synth edit.

Of course I don't expect to just whip up a Z3TA in a few days... or even ever.... but I would really like to start learning the principles that these synths use and how they're made...

It would have to be a combination of programming, something like c++ I suppose?? and synthesis?? and how they're integrated...

It's something I'm interested in studying... but I don't know where to begin...

Any links or books that cover this subject would be really appreciated.... Even if I don't learn how to do this full out... I'm definitely interested enough to hire the right people who know how to program to work on a VST with me... but I need to do a lot of research before that ever happens so I know exactly how to contract the right people for the job.

Can anyone help me along the lines of where I can get my feet wet with this?

a big thanks to anyone who can!!

There is a specific forum here at KvR http://www.kvr-vst.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=33

Check this post and visit the links, particularly http://www.u-he.com/vstsource/ and http://www.musicdsp.org/ .

If you don't know C++ check http://www.cplusplus.com/doc/tutorial/ and http://www.cppreference.com/ .

Cool

I would start with synthedit !
Reaktor or similar can help you too.

This helps you understand how things are working.
Its visual but still not easy.

Good luck !
