I already have the EWQL Bosendorfer 290. I also have a Steinway one that came with EWQL Symphony Orchestra Silver. My main problem with these is the number of notes it can handle. I do a lot of classical stuff and with both of these pianos, when I hold the pedal down, it can only handle a limited # of notes before it won't take any more.

I find both these instruments to be very good if it's just a couple notes here and there. But if you're doing anything thick, forget it. Any suggestions?

Yep! SFZ+ with a decent sample set, sfz can stream from disk or memory too.

also check the rgcAudio forum for links to good sample sets.
