AuthorTopic: Considering EastWest Symphonic Orchestra...

Hello all,

I'm new to all this, so please excuse what I'm sure is a silly question:

I'm considering purchasing Symphonic Orchestra Silver from EastWest, because my new "soft" studio is lacking in really nice orchestral sounds. I have several very nice soft-synths, but I've never atempted to use sampling technology before.

My question is this: Since this program seems to come with a synthish looking interface (aparently built on the Kontakt engine) can I use it like a synth? I mean, can I just load up a violin patch and play the midi controler to get clean sounding violin? I figure there must be more to it than that, but if not I'm going to run out to the store tomorrow!

Thanks,
Jason
