I just wanted to express my admiration for the amazing ugo. I've had and loved texture for a while now but for some bizarre reason never d\led the rest of his plugs. Anyway, during a rare quiet moment at work I went to get them and had just the most amazing evening last night playing with them. They are all of an unbelievably high quality and I can see myself using them constantly. I have a lot of soundsources (software and hardware) but these can proudly take their place with any of them. It's not just the sound, though, it's all the obvious care that went into the interfaces, too. It's very clear that you, sir, are a man of style and taste.

Thank you again for your incredible generosity in sharing with us.

I always love when someone praises Ugo. He let me create some patches and posted a demo song that I wrote for String Theory when it was in beta. He posted another demo I wrote for Rez and Texture on his website (links in my sig). It was a truly Zen experience.

Another cool thing about Ugo is that he insists on each of his synths having a full bank of presets before release. I had fun designing the remaining few patches in ST before he unleashed it. I just hate when a new synth is designed but with only a few patches. It feels so incomplete that way.

And his GUIs just kick ass all over the place.

We're not worthy....

well, i've been working with someone (as time permits for us) on a few things, including some new custom filters. so depending on how all that works out, perhaps in the future i'll be able to replace the current cpu heavy filter designs in texture with nice efficient ones. if we can, then i'd be able to make a polyphonic texture without it trying to devour your pc. Another cheers here.

I place you at the top of the list for non-commercial SE masterpieces.

I wouldn't restrict that to SE. I can't think of any freeware synths I prefer to ugo's...

And top presets, too. And hitns all over the place. And well written manuals. A gentleman and a scholar Smile

... and yet Texture has only 3 reviews. Put yer money where yer mouth is and review his synths if you like them so much. It helps all SE dev's and gets to more people than the forums.

no way, that ugo is the fizmo-ugo? ive been on that list forever, and while i personally didnt write a lot (at first because i wasnt allowed to because i had tested the fizmo and was under NDA, later because i had no questions about my fizmo baby) i saw lots of his posts and lots of interesting stuff.

hey ugo, if you ever read this, would you be interested in making a transwave synth? i could supply you with lots of transwaves, i once did the "art of transwaves" CDROM for the ASR 10 and i think i still have the source waves somewhere.

its no must, i have enough ASR 10s to play the transwave stuff until i die Wink just in case youre looking for inspiration for some new synth...

Can we get a Texture that doesn't eat FLStudio alive with a single voice? I have a project with NOTHING playing, and only a single Texture instance, and the CPU hits 100%.

I was hoping to make texture a feature synth in this project, but I can't unless I get some help!

help!

yes, there is a problem with the combination of FL, texture and a pentium 4. im working on finding a solution.

last night i had the pleasure of hearing ugo's synths for the first time.

there is a certain sound i have come to expect from a SE synth. but the ugo synths go far beyond that; in particular, the filters sound outstanding. each creation has its strong point, but rez really drew me in and had me mesmerized for hours.

equally impressive were ugo's demo songs; great work all around.

thanks pummel,
im glad that you dig the synths, and the you like my music. Very Happy

by the way folks, an update to motion will be released very soon. im just doing some final testing/tweaking.

the changes will be:
-sequencer bug fixes and bypass improvements
-filter and pitch sequencer glides now added as LFO destinations
-patch randomizer
-lots of new patches...now a full bank of 128. the majority of the sounds were selected from all the killer entries in patcharena's motion contest. there are also a bunch of new sounds by me.

also, im still working on fixing the bug with FL+pentium+texture. thanks to tim's (thockin) help, we've found the metal effect to be the cause of the troubles. the trick now is figuring out why its causing trouble how to fix it...but i am working on it.

I know this is an old thread but...

amazing synths; I am using string theory and texture in many of my new songs; I am experiencing no problems with texture in my FL btw.

but the thing is I have two questions...

a) I was asking myself if it was possible to include some zero preset to start the sound from "zero" and not from another preset.

b) are u able to see the whole motion synth? I mean I use it in FL and I can't see it entirely, the oscilloscope is out of view for example. can I do something?

thx for these synths, ugo. they are among the top top top ones, and I'm not talking about free only.

I love string theory!

I use on a lot of my tracks.

i can second origami's observation -- motion is just a tad too tall for FL's interface, and a portion of the bottom is off screen.

...if only it were possible to reduce motion's height by 10% or so.

BTW, ive only reviewed the "easy" two, rez and texture. motion and string theory are both excellent as well; however, they are much deeper and worthy of more time prior to review.

yes ugo, could that be possible? a small reduction of motion and a blank preset?
