After starting a thread about how to change the skin of a vst i got some tools for doing so. And then the hornet gor re-released (free) and i thought, why not try to change the look of that one. So here it is, my VERY FIRST gui Smile
Hope u enjoy it!

Dahornet, new edition
The Download link has been shutdown. It will be up if Liqih Synth gives me permission to distribute the new skin.

Done. New mobo is in. The old E: drive won't show up though. It is like there is no power to it as it won't even eject. All else seems good and I managed to keep the same OS withought reinstalling.

eh?

eh? indeed. It was meant to go somewhere else. That's what you get for changing a motherboard and trying to communicate with the outside world too soon afterwards.

The original thought was "Nice skin"

I really like it!

There are a few things I'd change, but that's neither here nor there since the project is now completed!

Great work!

it might now be free but the license still applies ... maybe you should check with liqih ???

HI

Looks better than 'MY' Hornet - I assume those speakers move in and out violently in harmony with the low frequencies?

I wish, unfortunately I'm new to this and all I did was change the bitmaps via Reshack! And the worse thang is that you can't even use gif/png ect Sad
Thats why i had to make that "strange" box around all the buttons Sad

Hello Funkadelic,

nice funky job,

about the question, you are allowed to distribuite the bitmaps, but not the DLL sorry,

anyway I can host your modified DLL and put the link on my site, we should all be happy then, no?

if you agree please send it zipped to me, thanks,

BTW knobs should really get rid of the boxed effect,

WoW Shocked That's a great skin!!! Hope liqih end's up hosting it. ; ) Sure he will, liqih's a cool guy. I guess it is technically "Hacking" of sorts though when you go into a dll with a res-hacker and export-import bitmaps. Sweet job though. Cool

Most knob programs are scriptsfiles, working in a specific program. I have a simple one that works in Coreldraw, there's also one available for Photoshop somewhere here, there might be more...

Yup..., found some different knobs programs..., here's the latest skin for Dahornet

Change SOME of the knobs, change the green cloth to red cloth, fixed the text and some other stuff!

DONE..., for now anyway. This is the look for now. The file has been sent to Liqih so you'll just have to wait for him to release it. Hope you'll enjoy the new look.

Could you post a direct link. My browser has problems when a small addition is made to a site like this and the dl link won't show up. Yes, really.

Perhaps you should also check with Arturia and make sure they don't mind the cut 'n paste you've been up to from the Minimoog.

I actually only took the wood TEXTURE and copied the look of the knob top! oh, and took the switch button. But maybe I'll go get a wood texture and a switch from the net to make it "pure" Cool
