Important message:

Ben@kvr has closed the CreakBox Public Beta2 announce in the Instruments forum without any reason.

We announced for one reason: the bioroid forum here is very low frequented. Some ppl even don't know, that there is a new release and/or any action inside this sopport forum...

We find this is one of the most impudent events, we ever seen in a public forum. This is a dictatorial behaviour we will not accept.

Therfore all downloads of the CreakBox Public Beta1 and Beta2 are disabled by this message.

We expect a clear statement.

I think that the bioroid forum should be closed, if really there is nobody here
I wonder, if ben@kvr would have closed the duplicate thread here and not in the Instruments forum, would you be so angry ?

Nothing like raising the old post count by stating the obvious, eh...

I guess we'll see some more threads turning into mudslinging and getting closed over this soon... Sad

Well, at least that'll mean yet one more good sounding product staying closed to the public - more power to us then with the said product Razz

It's funny that regulars posting in every thread has this effect... at least some people spend their time in a more productive manner, coding plugins for and so on... Razz

I can't believe you guys pulled it off. Thanks to all those involved. It is so close to perfection. Unbelievable!!! Shocked
Can I suggest something though? Can you make the gate feature midi automatable? And also when you're trying to record automation everything goes back to default. I think the gate feature gets stuck too. I'll play with it more and tell you guys what else I come up with. I love it. I have AudioRealism Bass Line, I recently got it and loved it until now... I wish I knew you guys were going to do this. Would have saved myself some money. BTW Are you guys going to charge for this?

Again, thank you guys so much for continuing the development of CreakBox.

P.S. I don't even know if this will be read or not. I'm just so confused about the whole friggin' thread thing.

Hey J/H etc.
Just popped back to say Nice Job!
This runs flawlessly for me in FL, AudioMulch, Orion Pro, EnergyXT, and I will hopefully be able to try it out in Delta SP (would be very cool, but problems with startup right now)
The sound is Great! This is much more flexible than I had been expecting. I think I already said all this, and that it sits better in a mix than any other bassline synth I have tried (well, my mixxes anyway - this is subjective, but I will certainly be using it.)

I am very interested in the Devil's Whisper projeckt; if it is anything like what I have come to expect from you, it will be really something!!!

Keep up the great work; I hope that it continues to bring you fulfillment, as it certainly brings many of us a lot of enjoyment.

Cheerz, and best wishes.

Ohh come on... WE the plain users get punished by not getting what looked like a fine freeware synth because a forum moderator locked a forum.

Sorry but I believe this is not fair...

Development just continues (with the Devil's Whisper project).
We're only looking for a better place to do (publish) it. A place where we're welcome. A place where we can act in a manner of democrathy and real public interest, rather than a place where all the time jump in haters and wanybe dictators.

If you are really intersted in the theme:
Our website is: http://devilswhisper.com,
our e-mail: info[at]devilswhisper.com

Thank you very much.

not to stir things up but i think you're being overly sensitive about this whole thing. I loved where you went with creakbox as I'm sure others did too. come on, why don't you just post it here? kvr is a great place. everybody is welcome I believe. I don't think they had anything against you, they were just trying to make things more efficient IMO. maybe a bit of misunderstanding as you thought it would be better if you posted news about creakbox in different threads so people could know about it... I would have done the same thing believe me. it is just such an awesome and exciting project that it is hard not to share with people. On the other hand, I think that Ben closed the threads just as a means of more efficiency. just to collect everything under one thread. like I said I think it's just a misunderstanding and a lack of communication. I don't blame you for getting so frustrated as this is, like I said, a friggin awesome project. Very Happy

Thank you tuz.

If this all is the case, what you said here, then there is also no problem doin it at an other place. I currently see no reason, why the project has strictly to remain here.

Maybe this is a wounderful place (for at least some ppl). But we don't see this anymore. We more see the disadvantages of this place in general now. It is finally a continuous grown decision, not a "total fallout" caused by a single (forum owners action).

The facit is: we can do much more intensive and more concentrated work, if there only people with an prooven interest work together, which finally is not guaranted here. Too much of our energy will lost here for senseless shit, definitively.

I personally think, that this place is far over-judged (overrated) in general (especially the fora).

We want not endless discuss (in an unproductive manner), we want to develop excellent tools to finally make also excellent music with it.

And so, finally, ppl, who are interested will come to us, and we don't have to go to them like undesirable entrepreneurs.

yes I did see your reply, thats why I replied.

K-V-R is the most important site for vsti/vst out there, Ben is very very cool to let companys host there sites here with very little hastle.

if companys like rgc audio, big tick, music lab,
IK Multimedia, Linplug, reFX, and Wizoo can use this forum with no hastle then there is no reason you guys cant.

if your further development of this project is to reach a wide audience K-V-R is the best place, fact.

all those company's can't be wrong.

your not a big company and you want to develop your prods with no hastle, and you think it cant happen here.

Psychology 101:

If your girlfriend is short tempered and blows a fuse too easily, you don't start an argument with her by repeatedly stating that - or rather, that's how you start every fight with her, by repeatedly stating it.

Personal opinions aside, this is apparently why KVR doesn't feel like the place it used to be for some people. There are ways to be more constructive. All it takes is some effort.

Make love, not babies.

no idea what happened.

it seems (forgive if im wrong) jeckyl and hyde took over development then backed out and it now producing abother product. ?

so I guess the code is still open source and maybe someone else needs to finish it.

again, I may be wrong.

Right.
The original code is still open and there.

Our beta2 was to 50 percent our own development and *not open*. The original licence don't allow a distribution under our conditions.
The rest of the story you know already (if you read the thread).

The new product is not directly based on the CreakBox, due developed from the scratch but an equal concept. Therefore it's not ready/available yet.

ps: There were some persons promising to supply parts to the further development of the open source CB (i.e. graphics work), but never really did a single piece of work. So we canceled all further development on the CB to concentrate on our own developments.
