Is there any way to control all the parameters in Absynth. I know you can creat those CC controllers that will control only the paramaters you can select which are, FM Balance, Filter, Effect Time, Pan, and Volume. But Im trying to control just the bandwidth on one of the filters in this case. Is there nothing I can do to modulate this parameter? I tried writing something in the envelope but the problem is it just restarts when i change notes, even if the hold button is selected. Im trying to get this filter sweep that brings a synth in. What can I do? This seems like a flaw in Abynth, other soft synths i think u can control all the parameters. I know in Rhino for example you can assign any paramater to a CC controller in the Rhino interface, which can then be modulated from your sequencer in a modulation track that pops up under the VST track. I use Cubase SX. I also noticed that when adding a midi track, i ofcourse select the output to be absynth, but i cannot select absynth as an input. Other VST synths allow me to select them as an input, why not absynth? I finally found how to control the pitch bend of Absynth from Cubase, by going to the midi that i wrote and selecting pitchbend from the area where velocity is initially showing. But i can do nothing with most of the parameters in the patch window. Am i screwed or what? Your advice is much appreciated.

on the envelope page, create an envelope for the parameter you want to control via midi.
set the mode of that envelope to 'control driven' set the midi cc # of that you want to control the envelope (this option appears when you select a point on the envelope). set the envelope to curve to how you want it to respond to the knob (max value, min value, sloped response, etc) you can stack envelopes on the same cc so that twisting one knob effects all sorts of enevelopes. hope this helps.

deadskinboy's right-control driven envelopes are the answer for what you want to do.
As for why Absynth won't show up as an input,it's because it's not transmitting any MIDI data. ew

You've solved my problem, your a great individual. I was wondering about that exactly too. When I saw there was an option for control driven envelope I figured that meant you could control the envelope some other way than writing it out. I just didnt bother to select a breakpoint, and even after you told me it was hard for me to find the little slot where you can select the CC controller. When I asked a similar question here on KVR when i was even less experienced w absynth, i got a bunch of responses and not one person told me about this. I was also told there was no way to control the pitchbend, which I figured a way around on my own. Anyways, thanks for your help.

hi!
the only drawback in control driven envelopes is that if you try to do fast movements with your controller sending a CC that control an envelope and audible slope is there...in other words the envelopes take a lot of time to go from a point to another... very annoying lalo

Indeed! Let's hope this will change in Absynth3.
