Hi there.

Following on from the RMX post earlier, does anyone have any links to tutorials that will allow me to slice up 4/4 loops into other time sigs - never done it before and I don't even know what program to use for this. My sequencer is Cubase SX1

Regards

Well...if you don't bother i can tell you that by my side it's a real pleasure to combine two different signature that way directily on the main page of my host !? (...trough logic in the case, if it is significant ! )

This is a marvellous and dead easy way to create the basis of very complex and elaborate rythmical section by slicing (if needed) 4/4 drums loops into another signature,or considering the cycle made by their multiplication (3 measure of a 4/4 signature or 4 measures of a 3/4 sign ). as their combining cycle...

I apologise if it isn't absolutely on your topic, mister Tony Mead, but trust me when i say that i'm sooo happy to read, AT LEAST, something that show a real interest on such kind of experimentations !

THANK YOU !

I' ve got by the way a BIG question that comes in mind :

HOW MUCH THE LOOP BASED SEQUENCER ARE USER FRIENDLY FOR SUCH EXPERIMENTATION :

SIGNATURE COMBINATION OF LOOPS PERFORMING ON THE SAME TEMPO ?????????

Dead easy with ableton live. Get 2 4/4 loops running at the same and on the second loop, ya bring back the end marker an 1/8 note ,making a 7/8 rhythm.
