AuthorTopic: A VSTi replacement for Live/Cyclone/Acid functionnality ?

I'm looking to the most convenient way to add loop functionnality to my Logic 5.5 PC rig.

Basically, the best thing for me would be able to load a loop (not Drums, not always monophonic) and to have it time-streched to my song tempo. If I could play the song in several pitch with my keyboard, then I am in heaven.

I tested 3 apps, but they only works in rewire slave mode:
-Acid: problems to rewire it to logic, no keyboard use
-Ableton Live: Great rewire, but it's not exactly what I was looking for because it is not easy and fast to have several pitch of the same loops to different midi note.
-Project 5 Cyclone DXi: Well, it seemed that the best solution for me, really cool to have the different pad and to assign them to key note with different pithc pretty fast and conveniently. Then, I had several problem in rewiring Project 5 to Logic, and it seems kind of cumbersome to use the entire Project 5 just for one synth.

So my question is:
1. Is there a DXi to Vst wrapper to make Cyclone DXi work in Logic. I almost know that it is only the other way (VSTi to DXi host), but maybe a crazy developper had felt in love with a DXi Very Happy

2. Do you know a VSTi that feels like Cyclone, with timestretching of Acid Files to the right tempo (and regular wav if possible) on the fly, and key notes to trigger different pitch. Kinda like AMG solo one instrument, but with time stretching instead of pure time slicing.

if that's all you want to do, subtek timelooper does exactly that, and pitch too. simple. quality is roughly that of live. if you want the beatslicing method, that opens up a whole lot of options. but timelooper is dirt cheap, and works for what you have described

No, no beatslicing. I tend to do my own drums loops, and besides that, I already have the beatslicing tools that I need (Phatmatik...)

I tried TimeLooper, and it's look like the concept I was looking for. Unfortunately, I was more looking into a 'pro' app. Not that I think that cheap soft make cheap music (PSP rocks Smile ), but Timelooper is not exactly a polish product. I have a hard time to put several pitches to several key notes, it seems a 4 click operation for every note Shit!

The two VSTI I use for this type of work are AMG Solo and Dicer.

Next version of AMG ONE/solo will include a dramatically improved ACID WAV file import. Rather than just play the slices like a REX file after the markers have been imported, we're now doing something a lot closer to ACID's "looping segments" mode. When you slow loops down, this sounds really rather good Smile

...and of course you can still transpose on-the-fly from your keyboard, export the MIDI file to mess about with the slices and apply filters/envelopes/LFOs etc.

I understand you don't want Beatslicing, but Timestretching by Bars&Beats in combination with Pichshifting: Kontakt / Kompakt / Intakt. (Kontakt is what I use to "replace" Ableton Live in Logic).
