I got this from experimenting with distorsion and noise reduction on a guitar. If i could get this sound out of a VSTi it would be great.

Damn it, I guess that's what you get from a free host. Anybody know any good free hosts? Sorry if this is a bit OT.

Well it's up again now, atleast until the allocated data transfer gets exceeded again. It's a tiny file 25k.

what an impressive demonstration of sound Embarassed
you must be kidding Laughing Laughing Laughing
Look for Krakli's Strat-A-Various ... (but i think you can get this sound with ANY synth plus some distortion and filtering)

Only the most complex Reaktor emsembles can create a sound like that. You might need to layer 3 or 4 Reaktors at the same time to get that.

I think I was expecting something a bit longer. That little blip is so teeny tiny, I would think it very easy to synthesize.

Perhaps investigate using a ring modulator, or doing FM. The trick is that you're aiming to have a carrier tone (here a saw wave would do) modulated modestly (25% depth maybe) to add lots of upper harmonic noise/ringing. Put a resonant lowpass at the end and fiddle with both cutoff and resonance to get a slightly more controlled ring.

This wasn't done with a synth? I'd never guess it wasn't to hear it.

Cheers,
Steve

If you email the sound to me in an attachment and a list of vsti's that you own i'll see if i can come up with a patch for you. Email to totcprod@totcproductions.com

That blip-ish sounding thing?
Speed the lfo and the modulation rate up really high and play a higher key.
