AuthorTopic: Bitheadz RIP = I can't install Unity AS-1 anymore!

I recently had to wipe my drives and reinstall my tools. So far, no problems getting authorizations back in place, but I forgot Bitheadz are gone! So what do I do when I need to use it for playback of an old track? Does anyone know how to contact them, I have tried email and it bounces back. Any suggestions would be great. It's a real shame that I can't use something I paid for, and I had it for only about 16 months or so.

help please!! Smile

Thanks,
Glau

welcome to the world of C+R protection, it sucks and everybody knows it, except for a (few) developers.

if it's a Big company like Native Instruments it,s not so bad to deal with, but small companys like bitheadz or even smaller it's plain crazy, and your post is a perfect example.

im afriad you are a victim. Sad

ps, there are other companys that use this type of protection and it is a real shame, there is 100% no doubt they are losing customers, and ironically being hacked more than ever.

always check the method on the kvr listings, shouldnt be that hard to keep up with as there are very few companys left actually using this crazy method.

Unfortunately, there's way too many products that list "unknown" - although most of those are "None" or "serial number".

I can count the C/R products I have on one hand - Acid 4, Sound Forge Studio, ST2LE (SR SS1 group buy), Kompakt, and LiveStyler. Almost everything I have is either "serial number" (or key file, etc) or "none", and when I have a choice, that is taken into consideration. There's enough good products out there from Big Tick, Camel, ConcreteFX, Dash/Nusofting, Linplug, Muon, RGC and others that don't use it, as well as all the free stuff.

Same boat here with Bitheadz. Too bad that they had to be so inconsiderate and not give out permanant authorizations.

Ultimately it is a lesson. Never again will I buy a C/R product.

Only stuff I own (ummm licence) with C/R is Bitheadz AS1 and Reaktor 4. Bitheadz I aparently am SOL but with reaktor, I also have reaktor 3 which uses a dongle so it wouldn't be too difficult if anything happened to NI.

Pleased to meet you. We Southerners must stay together. Smile

Ttoz will have to help you on getting in touch with the fellow from Bitheadz, I don't know the forum in question and can't help you there.

But I can extend to you a hearty welcome to KvR. *bow* And, of course, best wishes for getting this resolved!
