AuthorTopic: a question from a new reaktor user...

hi
I've just bought reaktor session and have just installed it, and I've come across with some issues that I wanted to ask (I know I can ask them in the NI forum, but since I'm not familiar with it yet...)

1. Everytime I open the reaktor vst in FL a caption says I need to insert the cd-rom. I didn't know that. is it necesary to have the cd-rom to use reaktor session?

2. The Green Machine synth doesn't work. It opens but it says there's a problem in the processing and it's disabled and crashed my FL.

thanks in advance...

Hm -- I have Reaktor itself, and don't own FL, so this might not apply. But: does Sessions come with a stand-alone app, so you can try it without any external host? If so, try that and see whether it gives the same problems.

01.] have you authorized your software w/ NI ?...
02.] after authorization , download the latest update from the NI website , and install it ...
03.] in particular , in FLS , you must make sure that the sampling rate on all .ens are set to 44,100 ... this should solve your 'crashing' problem ...

at the top of the .ens , just under the FLS wrapper , you should see a drop down box labeled sample rate ...
tick the arrow , and select the appropriate rate ... then , save the .ens ...

I'm not a sessions user, but you may need it for a one time authorization.

Run all the updates available first & then try it again.

Also, after you update sessions, open Reaktor in standalone mode & make sure that you have the same soundcard settings applied to Reaktor that you do for FL Studio.

to clarify ...
you should check the sample rate you are using in FLS ... check 'options' ... 'audio settings' ...'sample rate' ...
whatever setting you are using here , you should set your .ens sample rate to ...

You shouldn't be having the CD issue if you're properly authorized-and you shouldn't even if you're not;you'd be running in 30 day demo mode then.If it persists,I'd reinstall.

Also,Green Matrix itself had an update;it was an update for a bunch of R4 ensembles. You can find it on the updates page.

Follow normal's advice about sample rate-that's the #1 issue that I'm aware of with FL and Reaktor/Sessions.

I'm properly authorised, or so it said when I followed all the authorisation process...

The only thing that matters is the authorization key.You should have had a 60 digit number sent to you that you pasted into the registration tool.

If you need to do this, copy the key to the clipboard, and click on the registration tool icon in your Sessions folder.Click on the paste from clipboard button.

Once again,if you still have the problem I'd reinstall(backup your library of d/l stuff first...)

You do not need to have the CD in the drive to run Sessions.
