Anybody tried GigaStudio 3 - I am interested in it because of the convoltion seems quite a cool thing.

I have noticed that etcetera.co.uk have an upgrade for £199.99 (saving of £120) if you have oneo f the following: Emagic EXS24, IK Multimedia SampleTank L or XL, Native Instruments Battery, Intakt or Kontakt, MOTU Mach 5, Steinberg Halion, Propellerhead Reason, TASCAM GigaStudio, Digidesign Samplecell 2.

For US try http://www.tascamgiga.com/pricing.html

Got it right when it was released. Love it. Use it almost exclusively now for sampled sounds.

The Gigapulse is very cool - don't know if the technology is really different than other convolution modelers, but the way the GS3 libraries apply it sounds great. Heavy on the CPU though.

The initial 3.0 release was a bit flakey, but the latest 3.0.3 release is rock solid for me.

Used to use SampleTank and HALion. Sometimes still use ST2 for its stretch function, but gave away my copy of HALion to a friend.

The bundled samples are a mix of useful and just interesting stuff. The VSL stuff with GS3 Orchestra is worth the Ensemble to Orchestra upgrade.
