AuthorTopic: Assigning MIDI Controller Knobs to VST Instrument parameters

Hi all,

I've worked out how to assign particular knobs on my midi controller to parameters on the Native Instruments FM7 because it has a 'learn' function which allows you to assign a particular knob.

But how do you do this on a VST such as the V-Station (which doesn't have any learn function that I can see). Is there a way you can do this through cubase for any VST? Any help or links would be much apprecaited Smile

Cheers,
EoN

Either read up and learn how to make a 'Generic Remote'. Or look in your midi keyboard manual and see how you can assign CC's... There should be a way.

on pc
.load synthedit
.insert container
.inside the container load V-Station Vst
.connect containers midi in to V-Station midi in
.V-Stations audio outputs to containers audio outputs
.open containers panel edit.. and there's V-Station
.open Containers Automation and attribute to each parameter a midi control number
.export as vst
and there you have your VStation cracked with SE

Well, not really creacked. Shit!
But kinda "hosted", "redirected" or smoothly "covered". Wink

Because there is (fortunately) no direct modification to the original applied...
