I take it you folks haven't heard a real Arp 2600? This emulation really doesnt sound anything like an Arp.
It's lack a gritty chracter as well as some punch. It is way to clean sounding. I think Arturia is losing it. | ||

I think it's a very good emulation. The envelopes seem to track very "Arpy" to me. I think there will be some confusion about this one, owing to the fact that there were 3 or 4 2600 designs, with different filter circuits ... so there will be a lot of different takes on what a 2600 should sound like. I'll have to contact the guy that bought my 2600 from me and see what he thinks, but it sure sounds spiffy to me. | ||

It's getting panned pretty hard over at harmony central. alot of talk of "MMv in a new skin".
