Are there any vst plug ins out there that will allow one to preview and stream audio in sync (just like Ableton Live) with vst host aplications such as Cubase/Logic?
I remember reading one about this somewhere but cant recall., Any Idea?

CodeAudio's Beatburner has excellent sample preview sync -- one of the few that consistently guesses the loop length correctly -- plus it has some pretty strong synthesis features.
You could, of course, also use Live rewired to your host, even the demo is good for finding loops that will work with your project. That's how I got started with Live, until I saved up enough cash to purchase it.

Hello & Thanks
I'll see if I can try and get a hold of the demo beatburner, sounds like the deal. I've also tried using Live (demo) and was very impressed with its spot on audio preview and streaming, but couldnt understand why the quantizing feature was not working, maybe cause its the demo I dont know..?, Maybe there are options that need waking up?, I doubt their going to close off this feature, cause I would realy like to try how it behaves with audio and midi. Since Im still using Logic on a PC and am pretty reluctant to crossover to fruit computer with the greater price tag, Im still looking at a platform that will give me the transparency that I was so used to with Logic, and Ableton seems to be a very close call. I've never tried it rewired, not sure if it will work with the demo though.., I'll give it a go anyhoo. Thanks again for your help guys. |
