I have had several enquiries about the look of my Synth 1 so I'll put the info here rather than answer individual questions.
Synth 1's interface can be customised via the "OPT" button, located near the patch management section. Pressing the button brings up the dialog box as shown and you can see the values that I have used to get the look I have. Hope this helps.

Thanks Bones. Your "skin" looks soooo much better.
BTW, you have no patch banks loaded -- don't you use presets???

Actually it is more that I really don't use Synth1 any more so I haven't bothered to set it up properly on my new PC. It is just there for the 2 or 3 songs that I already had it on. Since I added osc sync to kARMAkILLER I have no further use for it.

How do you make windows take a screenshot so I can show mine?
| rsmus7 | Posted: 3rd January 2005 23:47 | |
open synth1 click on it, to activate it, and then press ctrl+alt+printscreen at once. then it is copied to the clipboard and you can use it in any picture app, like the windows paint or ... then you can save it as jpg and thats it.

thanks a lot. I've discovered this beautiful synth during this holidays and I was trying to make its interface less fuzzy. It would be good with a more tidy interface

Mine is Nord-red as well.
Hey, since all you Synth1 users are here, I need to ask for help. Does anyone use Synth1 in FruityLoops? When I open it inside FL, Synth1 becomes out of tune, and therefore unusable. I've tried adjusting the pitch in FL, but it's futile and I'm stumped. Any explanations?
| origami | Posted: 4th January 2005 07:05 | |
hey I've been using Synth 1 in FL for a year and a half now. It's actually the synth I use the most, probably on 75% of my songs. And I have never had any problem, in fact it must be the only synth I've never had a problem.
strange... | ||

Fixed it. I noticed that Synth1 was loading up as a DX instead of a vst. Switched it around and it works fine now.
| BONES | Posted: 4th January 2005 15:13 | |
It's always been there so whatever version you have will work.
