OK then...(it's a 4meg 192 mp3) - The Fugitive - deW ![]() Sarcastic comments on my workrate very welcome ![]()

I barely remember HoD (I was new then) but I remember it was good. This one is amazing too. Love that you play synth leads the way I like synth leads to be played (very well). Played live?
More More Donks IS recovering from a heart attack as we speak

| putte | Posted: 7th March 2003 14:06 | |
...huuiiiii ... okay, i´m not a fan of synth-stuff; but this song is sophisticated - the arrangement, the playing of the harmonies has it´s own character. deWavo ... i had no clue what to expect, and in the first seconds i wasn´t interested.
But the "chorus" grew on me ... dee dip dee dip .... okay - more! putte
| Kriminal | Posted: 7th March 2003 14:07 | |
you know, for a minute then, i thought it said a new DeWaverly track....jeeeze those pills are strong BTW, love the chorus..."bodytalk...do-do-do-do....bodytalk"

Top Stuff DEW!!! Very cool!!!
Is Atmosphere in there? Drums maybe a bit louder? So well there goes this year...... whew now we wait till 2004 for the follow up
| deWaverley | Posted: 7th March 2003 14:11 | |
nahhhh...I'm on a roll now - six months at the outside thanks ner0z - that 2nd (Moogy) lead sound is atmosphere, the first is z3ta. Most of the swimmy sounds are from the Motif8, but I had to get 'Adagio Strings' in there somewhere! thanks for the kind words (and noises) puttze 'n Krim oh yes...prog - I thought of you actually when I played that Moog solo ![]() deW ![]()

nice stuff deW! Quite different from HoD, but good quality sound. Where did the drums come from btw? I love the moog playing, too.
| donkey tugger | Posted: 7th March 2003 14:33 | |
Chirpy little number too - not the doomfest I expected after all this time!
| progfusion74 | Posted: 7th March 2003 14:33 | |
Cool. Now you're talking. What's that bassline that kicks in around 1:22? prog
| Scot Solida | Posted: 7th March 2003 14:46 | |
Damnation! That was worth waiting for! Excellent tune, excellent arrangement, and excellent performance. Does Tony Banks know where you live?
| deWaverley | Posted: 7th March 2003 14:51 | |
thanks bd - drums were cobbled together from various Stylus patterns
hehe, donks - had an attempt to 'wallow' in the middle there...but I'm obviously too happy at the moment prog that's a lovely little clicky motif sound, but seriously flanged. deW ![]()
| endmusik | Posted: 7th March 2003 14:52 | |
the arrangement on this is incredible!!!!! and the lead is great!
with tunes like this, if oyu only come out with one every six months, it'll be worth the wait
| deWaverley | Posted: 7th March 2003 14:57 | |
hey Scot thank you so much - that makes me very happy! It's just a silly little sketch really, but I secretly hoped you might like it! endmusik - that's really kind, thanks. I look on at your musical fecundity with awe! deW ![]()
| progfusion74 | Posted: 7th March 2003 15:00 | |

| fitch | Posted: 7th March 2003 15:21 | |

Here's a little excerpt of the original mix before DeWav took out his somewhat 'west cuntry' vocals....

Well, not a patch on HOD, but after a few listens, it grew on me. It started a bit urgently, but from the 1min mark built up nicely. didnt like the lead braasy sound much, maybe a bit of distortion would cure that
| deWaverley | Posted: 7th March 2003 16:10 | |
Krim...how could you not like the z3ta 'estimated riff' sound?? thanks Moritz donks ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() claire, I'm sooo glad you like it (as I lovve your exquisite CD) - I can go to bed happy now. deW ![]()

i wish you hadn't said that dew... maybe if it's cheaper in the states... probably not though eh i'm terrible with vst lust
| choochcat | Posted: 8th March 2003 04:18 | |
Wow. This is beautifully produced. Very Depechey chords. Not too keen on the ever so slightly cheesy pad, but the programming's great.
| Kriminal | Posted: 8th March 2003 06:21 | |
Superb... | ||
| deWaverley | Posted: 8th March 2003 06:50 | |
fitch...Stylus is probably not an immediate necessity, given the styles you write in at the moment (trying to see things from your bank manager's point of view here thanks choocho...I haven't really heard Depeche Mode since Vince Clark left, but it's an interesting chord sequence (Bm Bb Gm Ab) - doesn't really make any sense, but I love the sound of looping back from Ab to Bm - how about this then {{severe pretension alert}} : ![]() ![]() ![]() When you say 'cheesy', if you mean the 'doo-da doo-da' brassy thing, I know what you're saying - several people here have obviously felt uncomfortable with it...but....it's interesting that of all the people I've played it to in the 'real world', every one of them has got really excited by that noise!...I think we're all guilty as musos of avoiding the 'obvious' sounds which appeal to the punters out there, in the search for subtlety and originality......or maybe it's just cheesy! deW ![]()
| RegPhoenix | Posted: 9th March 2003 09:11 | |
I like it - it inspired me deW!!!! You need some "abused catholic who watches horror movies" kinda singing on it! Erm - someone should say something nasty. It sounds like a cross between the Clothes Show and a Depeche Mode B-Side. The kinda shit the Pet Shop Boys are churning out lately. Fantastic!!! Really like it! Reg
