AuthorTopic: Cheers to the 3 Kings - Ian W, Jon and Krim! New track 4U!

In appreciation of all the dev's and contributors hard efforts, my new track 'You Got It Going On' uses the 3 Kings to great extent. Inspired by Krakli's EZ Poly Synth and it's Ring Mod in the Step Sequencer (And even more OSC's show up with it here!)
Kriminals Harsh Drum Kit started to get things moving. ConcreteFX's amazing Ensembler synth started to tie things together (and many thanks to Jon for helping me smooth it out! Very Happy ). Krim's AWESOME Wasp D&B patch started walking through it. And I was so happy I started to sing! Laughing But then I did my tricks to the voice to keep things 'unusual'.

My thanks again to Ian, Jon, and Kriminal for such amazing and inspirational contributions. We're not worthy....

Enjoy! Very Happy

Sorry Krim. Sad Soundclick I find so easy to put stuff up at, but downloading and all from 'the outside' can be a bit of a drag I guess? Anyhoo, hope you make it - and like it! Very Happy

And thanks Bluedad! Very Happy And you being such a fan of 'dub' now, have you checked out my 'Tobacco On My Pants' song yet? If you scroll to the bottom you'll see it. Not quite Dub, not quite country - so as far away from Donny & Marie as possible! Laughing

But thank you as well buddy! Very Happy Really dig EZ Poly, and your nice big GUI's now. Fantastic stuff! Wink

Geez, if I was having a wedding - I wouldn't have to worry about sending invitations. All you guys would just 'be there'! Laughing

Laughing

Not quite yet Ian! First I gotta get Paulina away from Ric Ocasek, brainwash her, and call a chapel in Vegas in advance... Then we'll see? Confused

Maybe not a 'cake' per say, but I'll make sure you get a Twinkie and some Devil Dogs atleast. Laughing

I like it, the mrs likes it, jobs a good 'un Very Happy

My only gripe is the vox. Bit washy in the mix. I'd prob give them a radio/telephone EQ and have them dry and in ya face, and a bit louder Wink

Col track tho, pumps along nicely Cool

Better Vox and Pie comin' up! Very Happy

Tart and chunky, or sweet and smooth? Oh, I'll bake both for Jon so he can have his pie and eat it too! Laughing

NEW AND IMPROVED! Very Happy BETTER VOX, BETTER MASTERING, BETTER BASS! Shocked

I even sliced up Jon's pie at the end! Laughing

Thanks for the advice Krim! It's 'telephony', but phased! And just the sharpening of the EQ allows for alot more headroom to raise the voices up too! I was to chicken before, but a good tip I'll keep in mind for the future. Very Happy

Hope Lenny doesn't have clean nappies on, or you're going to be changing him again by the time this tune finishes! Laughing 'Cause as we all know - Lenny's Got It Going On! Cool

Whoaaaaaaa.... this is pumping in a very subtle way. I have not heard the previous recordings but this sounds pretty good man. I love how the sounds fit so well together. And that vox on top is rather cool Cool

Keep it going and keep it strong Very Happy

Thanks my man! Very Happy The music is much the same, but Krim was right about the voice - think I was being to shy with it before. Plus I eased up on the mastering. I used MaxxBass before, which I think made it TOO big. This time I just stuck with StereoImager, Puncher, and good ol' Peak Master. Wink

Wish I had more lyrics, but if it's 'going on' - what more do you need? Just paint it up and down, and you'll ruin this town. (in a GOOD slangy way I mean) Laughing
