Great stuff, as usual!
Oddly, it reminds me of Circle of Dust's "Mesmerized". - m

reminds me of a lot of american rock stuff i hear on the radio at work.not what i am into so i dont know any of the artists concerned, but it would stand next to most of them on the radio no problem.the mix is good as is the musician ship and the voice are great for this kind of track.
oh and i mean the more recent stuff not bonjovi n poodle rock but the last couple of years or so all in all nice work now do more

hey kyle, nice to see a finished track posted i really like the drum sounds, what did you use? guitars sounded great. vocals were excellent as usual. my only gripe would be that there wasn't much difference between the chorus and verse. they just weren't dynamically different. not my favorite song of yours, but very nice all the same. lates t-willy

This is good, great job producing this track.
Go make your CD! | ||

ok, I hope I'm in the right place now...(don't ask)
good tune, gc nice mix and guitars as usual. good vocal too although, to me this style (see, not you, this style) seems full of anger and teen angst. but then again, that's what rock is all about! as a middle aged republican it's hard for me to sing with much anger anymore.

heh, ya... rock is usually that way anymore... hope this song didn't sound to much like that
hah, (nothing against libitarians... they have some fine points... but... yeah.. I'll stop there...) heh, thanks for the listen bluedad

I bet some people here could do some great remixes, that's always fun and you'd probably get some great results.
Something to think about, huh?

Nice trach gc Hmmmm, guitar wise it reminds me of later Bevis Frond (Nick Saloman) and that's no bad thing

not sure ill get anywhere but it will be a cool challennge and its a good track to start with,so should be fun too. if you can just export each individual track as mp3 will be fine(high as you want bitrate wise

ok... as long as one or two people are interested I'll put her up... might not have it up until tommorrow, but I'll try to shoot for tonight sometime... I'm trying to remember how many tracks I ended up using on that... I don't think there are a whole lot.. but I'm not sure... could be around 11 or 12 tracks all together...

haven't have time to do the tracks yet... but was wanting input too before I did that...
When I mix them down, is it ok if I mix one track in it's entirety, or let me explain... from start to finish, even the silent gaps.... that might help you line it up better when putting it into your DAW, but would be a bigger file size I'm sure.... and also... do you want the tracks 'dry' for the most part? and then, I have some back-up vocals that are kinda silent on the choruses, might put them in a stereo mixdown file instead of alot of mono ones... oh... and word to the wise.... If by chance you feel like writing your girlfriend a song and telling her you love her... DON'T !!! it's just been one of those days... o well... life goes on...
| mr.me | Posted: 4th April 2004 22:00 | |
I'll give it a shot. | ||
| mr.me | Posted: 4th April 2004 22:06 | |
Sorry to hear about your girlfriend deal.
Loops and short sections would work, then we just arrange them how we do....midi files are good too.
| vurt | Posted: 4th April 2004 23:12 | |
each track in its entirety then i can just chop where i need to sorry to hear about the gf troubles

a creed like sphere
well procuced good singing perhaps to many reapeating lines i find the cymbal a tick to loud the rest of the drum comes out ok i am a fan of louder basslines - gives a song a solid body together with the drum - i missed it. the low section is very soft in this further - i believe Kyle Altenderfer is very very talented

Wopelka
thanx.. ET Hey... yeah.. I think the cymbal is just a lil to loud... and the bass line... well... I've never mastered yet how to get the bass the way I want it to sound... still worken on it...

Ok, now for the criticism.
I love the song and the playing but I have a few mix requests. 1. Bring the vocals out front a bit more. I think maybe just a little EQ would do it. A little bit it the higher freqencies probably. 2. The distorted guitar could be brought up a little when the vocals stop. Also maybe a little high frequency boost would help. 3. The solo needs to be more out front as well. 4. Ok, one playing request. I think the drums could benefit from some variation. Maybe just a fill or two. Otherwise, I love this tune. Your vocals are top notch. I only wish I had that talent. Good job. fucanay

yeah... I agree with all for of those mix/playing requests... I'll do them when I go back to touch up the song before I put it on my cd Thanx for the listen, and glad you like... |
