Were we supposed to notified through email about this update and where to send the disc's back to?

Also I vote for just getting a disk with the updated sounds since I don't mind the names in SS at all.

There will be adequate notification when the update is really ready to be shipped. You WILL have the option to choose just the updated sounds and fixes on one disc and NOT have to send back the old discs. I imagine most of you will want to do that.

Another thing to consider is timing your potential desire to get one of the new 3 eROMS (as they will be up in the store by the time the update is ready). That way it really costs you no extra shipping.
