Just recorded a live spin through a small subset of the next Spirit Canyon Audio release, that I thought people might want to hear:

No details to release yet, other than to say this next product will be all about rhythmic convolution ...

Do you have a rough idea of what the price will be ?
Thanks.

Waaaay too early to even speculate. At this point, I can't even offer a suggested release date. Other than to note that the Christmas season will be soon upon us....

What is this MP3 about? I kept forwarding the MP3 and kept hearing the same music over and over again.

The first little bit is a dry synth arp riff with no effects applied, so you can hear the original material.
All the subsequent sounds show the various effects that can be applied using convolution and the product that I'm currently developing.
For example, the signal chain I used to make this recording in energyXT was:
Reaktor 5 (free running the arp)
then
Voxengo Pristine Space with a single IR loaded
then
Voxengo Soniformer (realtime multiband compressor to keep peaks from clipping)
then
Voxengo Recorder
So all of the sound differences you hear between the repetitions is simply me flipping to a new IR in Pristine Space. Make sense?

To be completly honest with you, I got a headache while listening to that music. Please take no offence in this. For me it sounds like a loop playing over and over again with some weird spacing textures behind it. Maybe this is the desired effect. Honestly, I don't know.

What you dont know? He is going to develop some weird thing in convolution reverb area
You know that these days everyone keep saying that IRs are too static. So there you go

Well the weird spacing textures behind it are the point of the exercise.

Next time I'll try to come up with an example that isn't so rough.

OK, here's one that's not quite so rough that better illustrates what the upcoming collection is all about:
http://spiritcanyonaudio.com/tmp/sca4ex2.mp3
Again, the collection is focused completely on rhythmic convolution.

Mmmm...that is
very convincing. I can see that mixing this in various wet/dry ratios would really liven up a simple drum part...
