i understand how to enter intro, beat, break etc onto the drum map but how do i enter verse 1, verse 2 and chorus?
can i have more than one type of rhythm ie a funk verse followed by a jungle chorus on the one drum map?

You are not the first one asking about this, so we will make some special commands for verse, chorus and similar.
Chorus, verse... commands
It is very simple - verse 1 is nothing else than level 25% Break (therefore D#0 I guess), verse 2 - 45% (F#0), and chorus 75% break (A0). When you work in VST, you can just transpose the notes :
1) Create the typical sequence of let's say 7 bars of beat (C-1) and 1 bar of break (C0). (I do not edit it manually anymore - I rather use "song structures" - load a "basic block" song structure and drag & drop it to the host as MIDI)
2) Move it all to "A" to make it chorus etc.
The buttons in the GUI are mostly useful when you are just controlling the drummer in realtime, hence for standalone typically. It is too clumsy to change the level tracker and pressing break button. But these buttons really does nothing else than changing level and pressing break. And in VST they are useless once you understand the transposition.
Multiple rhythms
Of course! There are even two ways (both in one of the first tutorials):
1) You can load one rhythm and use "load verse" or "load chorus" to replace just part of it with another rhythm. Load verse replaces everything below 50% and conversely.
2) If you need more freedom, you can use rhythm channels. MDrummer has 9 rhythm channels - rhythms it can play at once, or switch between them.
What you need to do is to load one rhythm to rhythm channel 1 and another rhythm to rhythm channel 2. Then use MIDI command track on MIDI channel 1 to control rhythm 1, and MIDI channel 2 to control rhythm 2.
You simply stop the first rhythm when you want to switch to another, and start that one. But you need to understand the MIDI command method very well for this. However this way it is possible to change many rhythms at many places with different signatures... just anything you like!
On the other hand, if you need just the simple task of making MDrummer play different rhythm in verse and different rhythm in chorus, then method 1 is probably better, at least easier.
If this was not understandable, please just ask for more!

Just one more thing - the whole MIDI command structure system is described in help in detail (main window ? button) and to know all you need is probably enough to see the first
tutorials - "Basics" and "VST plugin".
I think you can even mute the voice if you can't stand it

. It should be understandable from the picture itself.
