I've recently reformatted one of my partitions and reinstalled Windows XP SP2 onto it. Now when I try to load a vst wrapped with mGUI my vst host crashes. Does mGUI rely on some other software package like a .net redistributable or something?

Details:
The mGUI directory structure is fine, everything is where it should be and the ini's point to the correct directories. This is confirmed by my second partition which runs off the same mGUI directory just fine.
The mGUI registry entries have been set.
VSTHost reports an unhandled exception when trying to load an mGUI plugin.
Reaper crashes when trying to read the type/name of an mGUI plugin.

No, mGUI does not use .NET or Java ...

If possible try to see if mGUI has somewhere dumped an "asseca.log" file.

You could also try the latest mGUIv2b12 beta, which handles things differently.

Sorry, no log file to be found. However, I've tried v2b12 and so far it works great. As for what's wrong, I have no idea. I've used the release version of mGUI before on other installations without any problems at all. Thanks for your help! :D
