I kept meaning to update my website for ages so today I have set up a dedicated sound design page instead of it being tacked onto my music page as previously. It's a WIP but this is where I will keep all my Soundbanks, Kore templates, Kore Sounds and Reaktor Ensembles

http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm

So far posted there are sound banks for:

Spectrasonics Omnisphere - my ongoing VoxWorks project
u-he ACE - 3 banks totalling 200 sounds so far (I also contributed to the factory presets)
u-he ZRev - 1 bank and some morphing Koresounds
u-he Uhbiks - 2 banks so far (I also contributed to the factory presets)
u-he TripleCheese - Camembert Electrique bank
Virsyn Poseidon - 1 bank and KoreSounds for all presets
SmartElectronix DFX Transverb - 3 banks
Modelonia - 2 banks and morphing KoreSounds (I also contributed to the factory presets)
ImageLine Ogun - 1 bank
XOXOS Steam - 1 bank
Augur - The Prophecy Bank (150 presets - made jointly with Midiworks)
DASH (now Wusik) EVE - 2 banks (plus I contributed to the commercial FS1R bank)
FXPansion Orca - my Killa Wails bank
Humanoid Scanned Synth Pro 2 - the Scanners bank (I also contributed to the factory presets)
D-Cam Synthsquad - Cypher Morphs (using Kore 2)

and a few more

3 Reaktor ensembles (1 was a collaboration with Sickle)

Kore templates - so far I have made well over 50 including for the following synths and effects plugins:

2C Aether reverb

Camel Audio Alchemy

Camel Audio CamelPhat 3

Camel Audio Camelspace

FXPansion DCam SynthSquad

u-he Filterscape effects and synth

u-he MFM2 delay effect

u-he Uhbik effect plugin suite

u-he Zebra 2 synth (including templates for Zebrify, ZRev and Zebralette)

u-he ACE synth

u-he TripleCheese

NewSonicarts Granite granular synthesiser (in development)

ImageLine Harmless

Imageline Ogun

ImageLine Sytrus

Korg MonoPoly

Korg Legacy Cell

Steinberg Hypersonic 2

Modelonia

Terratec Komplexor

Spectrasonics Omnisphere

Vember Audio Surge (in development)

Big Tick Rhino

Rob Papen Blue

Scanned Synth Pro 2

Access Virus Ti plugin

WhiteNoise Doppelmangler

WhiteNoise Zerovector

GrooveCube Exciton

Tone 2 Firebird (including a version wrapped in Wusik VM to enable proper preset management)

Anamark

Augur 2

Abakos Pro

Concrete FX Kubik 2.5

XILS3 (coming soon)

and many more

Also I'm updating my Tindeck profile with my music - listen to some of my sounds here:

ps. I don't push this but I have been asked about donations so I have added a donation link too but it's not compulsory - just appreciated Smile (and it does pay for more plugins I can do banks and Kore Sounds for Wink)

pps. My artwork and :cough: poetry and prose pieces can be found in my sig link Smile

Quick and very dirty teaser of the Sakura bank I'm working on - trying to coax some usable sounds out of it:

http://www.fingermarks.co.uk/music/Sakurademo.mp3

(Ironically my first attempt at recording a demo was sabotaged by ImageLine's Edison dumping the first part of the recording when it went over 5 mins - sibling rivalry? Smile)
aMUSEd - Mon Aug 02, 2010 4:34 pm
Bump before bedtime

will probably release this tomorrow

Added an Ogun soundbank to my site - enHarmonic Spaces - 18 morphing metallic sounds made with Ogun. I've included the fxp sounds for Ogun and also the same sounds done as ksd's for Kore, which also have full attributes, user notes and params mapped and the morphpad set up to change the timbre of the sound with the Kore hardware controller (Note they can of course just be played in Ogun using the XY but it's fun using the Kore controller to do it and the larger morphpad allows for more subtle variations)

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5646041/Ogun%20enHarmonic%20spaces.zip

The Sakura bank is coming but I had to deal with other things today and they (well tbh Sakura) still have some kinks.
VSTJuNkiE - Tue Aug 03, 2010 8:12 am
Just wanted to say thanks for all the free presets man. Thumbs Up!

Will these work with autogun?
aMUSEd - Tue Aug 03, 2010 8:14 am
Probably - not tried but afaik they are the same engine
Echoes in the Attic - Tue Aug 03, 2010 12:08 pm
Cool man, thanks for sharing. Will definitely check some of those Kore templates.

I wonder if I can use the automap versions of VSTs with these. In Ableton it's cool because you can save a plug-in device as the regular VST, but as long as the automap version is in the same directory, when you open that VST, it opens the automap version automatically, so presets are interchangeable. Not sure Kore works that way.

the presets are in a format other than .aupreset (which is what mac uses), and the EVE2 presets aren't in dashsnd format (which is what all of my eve2 presets are in). tried installing anyway and they weren't working for me. any ideas that I may have missed? looks like a lot of great stuff. thanks.

The EVE presets are for EVE version 1 but I think it's possible to convert them - ask Will K (actually I think dashsnd is for the samples anyway, the banks were bnk format unless that changed in v2). aupresets are for AU plugins but that's only for Logic - many Mac users use VST's too and most of the other presets - for example for Omnisphere, the u-he plugins and the KoreSounds can be used on both platforms afaik.

I'm not sure - it sounds almost like the automap version "hooks" onto the regular vst when it's opened - which should work in most hosts in that case.

wow, thanks a lot Love

I wish I owned more of the synths that you designed sounds for,
judging by your Scanned Synth patches ( Shocked ) ,
there must be MANY more amazing sounds on your site ...

congratulations for your sound design skills & for your generosity Thumbs Up!

I hope that other people who grab your banks will be able to donate more than I could afford ...

but I send you blessings & wish you all the sweet best Very Happy

Fixed a few broken links caused by Skydrive being stupid - to anyone thinking about using MS Skydrive for online storage - don't - it's just so unreliable and keeps renaming links and even renames files (sometimes it puts underscores in the filename) - moved most stuff to my own ftp or Dropbox now

The TripleCheese bank Camembert Electrique is updated to 29 patches now. Been playing with it most of this evening.
aMUSEd - Thu Aug 05, 2010 1:18 am
Kore template for WhiteNoise Additive added - I now have templates there for all WhiteNoise products.

I also added a template I've been working on for some time for PSP Nitro. Two of the biggest frustrations I've found with Nitro are that the automation params are all non descriptive - mostly numerical - plus there are so many - which makes it a bit of a pain to automate, and that the deep editing is hidden away in a tiny window with tiny, mostly numerical controls. The Kore template substitutes user friendly param names and makes it great to use in performance. The template includes a performance page with just the main knobs but also includes all the deep editors - this is a very deep effect but daunting - the template makes accessing controls a lot simpler.
aMUSEd - Thu Aug 05, 2010 11:32 am
Added Hanami - a new bank for ImageLine Sakura - 30 Sakura patches and 30 Koresounds.

http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=4196106#4196106
aMUSEd - Fri Aug 06, 2010 12:52 am
I've added a simple Fusor template to the D-Cam pack - just the macros and mixer - it's difficult to map anything else really due to the openendedness of it but this is usable for performance
D.H. Miltz - Fri Aug 06, 2010 2:08 am
I've just been messing around with the banks for EVE and Augur. Some very cool sounds. Thank you.

I've added a massively updated Sytrus Kore template - now comprehensively mapping params to Kore controls and making the interface more accessible

I'm off work this week - getting a few things I've had on my todo list in order Smile

Sytrus was a bit of a bitch to do though - been putting it off for ages
aMUSEd - Sat Aug 07, 2010 8:19 am
Just reinstalled Kubik 2.5 on my new laptop - took the opportunity to tweak and update the Kore template - adding a performance page and the deeper editors and bringing it more inline with 2.5 - download as usual from my site (see sig)
aMUSEd - Sun Aug 08, 2010 7:16 am
The Vember Audio Surge template on my site is now complete - I had posted a very preliminary and unsatisfactory version previously - now it covers both scenes and everything apart from the fx (too many to do user pages for really - might try if there is demand for it but I don't really see the need)

On my website in sig.

I picked up the latest copy of Computer Music today so I'm making some Kore templates for several of the synths and maybe some effects from that.

First up - a Kore template for ZebraCM

download from here as usual:

http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm
aMUSEd - Mon Aug 16, 2010 2:10 pm
Kore template for FabFilter One CM added now too
aMUSEd - Wed Aug 25, 2010 1:25 pm
OK since Komplete 7 with Reaktor 5.5 and Prism is out now I can release these (formerly they were just available on the Reaktor beta thread on the NI Forums):

Templates for Reaktor Lazerbass and Prism

The LazerBass template also comes with all 3 factory banks converted to KoreSounds (pending NI releasing their own).

The Prism template comes with 3 example KoreSounds showing the potential for creating morphing variations with this very expressive new synth

on my website:

http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm

Ensembles not included of course

Also they may need you to have the latest Reaktor beta to work
aMUSEd - Wed Aug 25, 2010 9:37 pm
Oh yeah, just to keep this in the one thread, I've recently added templates for 2 more Computer Music plugins too - Artillery CM and Linplug Alpha CM

I've added templates for SPARK now as well - this is for the Reaktor Player versions - the older version already had KoreSounds - this enables the new version to also function in Kore (as well as providing a more comprehensive template than was originally available)

Thanks a lot aMUSEd for all the presets, and also your informative and helpful posts. Smile
Hope for a Zebra bank from you someday. Wink

Thankyou

I've just added a Kore template for discoDSP Discovery Pro - it has support for control of all 4 layers and as this synth supports Kore preset import the template would also serve as a basis for importing presets into Kore 2.

Download from my site as usual (see sig)

I've added a Kore template for AAS String Studio to my website (in sig)

It covers all the modules and params that can be automated and hopefully also makes some aspects of the interface clearer (as String Studio is not a very clear interface)

Intermorphs explores sound-spaces in-between traditional acoustic instrument types such as brass and strings or woodwinds and plucked sounds - only possible with a physically modelled instruments (which is why I love them)

Thank you!
aMUSEd - Sat Oct 09, 2010 1:15 am
Thankyou very much - you're officially the 3rd person to donate something which is very cool. As with anything that goes into my Paypal it will go towards new synths and presets so I might end up having more free stuff to share as a result of this too Smile
bob bobwood - Sat Oct 09, 2010 12:34 pm
Thank you, that's some output you got. Just trying a couple now.

Just a suggestion - could you put the name of intended vsti in the file name. Easy to lose touch with them - if I forget to rename them.
aMUSEd - Sat Oct 09, 2010 2:44 pm
Think I did for most of them but not all
aMUSEd - Tue Nov 02, 2010 4:38 pm
I've added a bank of 30x8 morphing KoreSounds made with a custom version of Reaktor Metaphysical Function and based on Simon Stockhausen's sound & sample set MF Eternity. Download from my site in my sig.
aMUSEd - Fri Nov 12, 2010 4:12 pm
I've added a Kore template for Little Endian SpectrumWorx 2. This template takes advantage of the clever way automation params are allocated in SpectrumWorx which is based on position rather than module - so although there are many modules it will always be set up to control what is loaded

From my website in my sig as usual

Added today updates to all the KORG Legacy synths - both editions (now unbundled by KORG) and a template for KORG MS20 FX version too. These updates add far more controls to the original versions NI made for Kore which were limited to a small subset of the main controls only. They also make them easier to use since the original gui's are hyper realistic but not that user friendly.

No problem - have you tried the morphing patches? Prism being morphed in Kore 2 is killer

Speaking of morphing patches there are now 40 morphing Zebra/Kore metapatches on my site and more to come

I've converted the free Xmas Mikro Prism bank to KoreSounds - this is just for owners of the full version of Prism as that's what I made them with so it probably won't work with the cut down version. These are not just straight imports - I have added full attributes and each sound has 8 morphable variations (if your cpu is up to it) and params are comprehensively mapped to Kore controls (unlike the Prism ksd's provided for Komplete users which just cover the basics)

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5646041/Kore%20Templates/Mikro%20Morphs.zip

Also look out for Koreified versions of Julian Ray's Scanned Synth "Mysterious Journey" and Alchemy "Magic Potion" banks on his site and of Simon Stockhausen's "Zebra 1st Encounters" bank on Patchpool.

to host the Kore sounds and templates, which I created or am going to do.
I liked the idea to have these more or less all in one place,
so let's get straight to it:

Here's a complete set of Koresounds for the Ohmicide:Melohman VST
(by Ohmforce) - 120 Metapatches converted, each Koresound comes
with 10 sorted userpages, which cover all available parameters
of this Distortion Effect.

Get it here:
http://fingermarks.co.uk/music2.htm#Losan

More to come with time...
Thanks, Stephen !

Now this is cool... I don't Ohmicide anymore, but this would be extremely useful.

Anything like this for Ohmboyz?

Not yet but it may be doable if the demo allows preset import (not sure)

Sorry, at least not from me.
I think with u-he's MFM2 and FabFilters' Timeless 2
I am pretty covered in regards to more unusual Delay Effects.

BTW, for anyone who has Timeless 2, one can find a set with koresounds
for it's factory content on FabFilters Support page, but I think
I'll sent them also to Stephen besides some other prior sets and templates I made.

@Stephen:
even if it might work, you would not be able to convert the complete
factory content of it - I believe the demos have only a restricted amount
of presets - as has been the case with Ohmicide.
But anyway, at least a template for it might be interesting...

Cheers

Oh well - I have MFM2 and Timeless too so probably won't be buying it. Sorry

Just sharing some experimentation from XILS3 - I have made a morphing template and populated it with 8 sounds - you might need the XILS format originals too so I have also included the original patch:

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5646041/Kore%20Templates/XILS%20Unquiet%20Night.zip

Trying for that EMS Synthi feel with these - Kore is great for adding wild morphs between sounds

first of all thanks for the kore templates amused!
i am one of the few kore fans.
i would like to suggest you some interesting synths for your research:
olga and ugo's beautiful synthesizers as well as mhc's industrial tones!

cheers.

Hi thanks

I tend to avoid making templates for Synthedit synths, partly because I only have one now that I still use much (Artvera's Golden Asset) and partly because in Kore they are limited to their factory banks by not having any preset loading built-in.

I seem to remember trying a demo of Olga and it also had that limitation but if not then it's a consideration.

Not sure about the MHC stuff - they seem to be a bit overpriced though which put me off.

Updated - I consolidated all my experimental patches into a bank so now there's a full XILS 3 bank with 37 patches as well as some more KoreSounds each with 8 variations. Mainly FX/Pads/soundscapes/some leads.

Now up on my site.

Even though Kore is not going to be developed by NI for much longer (unless we can convince them of their foolishness) there's no reason why I can't keep working on Kore templates so in a spirit of defiance here is my Hypersonic 2 template that unlocks all the hidden addon modules such as the Ultrasynth and B3 organ::

http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5646041/Kore%20Templates/Hypersonic%202%20Ultra.ksd

basically how this works is it exploits a known bug where if you have a second instance of Hypersonic loaded in a project it also loads the addon modules - so this template loads 2 copies and mutes the first - simples Smile
