seems that the "CPU" power of iPod and iPad are still not powerful enough that you will see such things in the "near" future.

Just use Air Display and you're laughing.

The TouchAble app is a great Ableton controller, as is LiveOSC, but of course Ableton still needs to be running on a computer. Electrify seems a lot like a cut down simple standalone ipad app much like Live though.

i think a mobile version of live would be great so you can maybe just use the session view.

I wish there was an equivalent of Air Display for Windows.

Air Display and touch osc already integrate the iPad into LIVE.Use a laptop if you want portability.

Electrify is like having Session view, 8 tracks each loaded with a Simpler, and two fx busses. It's a fun little sample-based groove box

I'm a fan of using Nanostudio to synth up some samples to drop into Electrify via audio copy/paste. So far nlog is disappointing me in this department, but once the devs get it sorted out that'll be a nice sound generator for Electrify

Electrify is crashing 4.2.1 here.
KrisM - Sat Dec 04, 2010 12:24 pm
Hmmm maybe it needs an update but its not crashing on me
topaz - Sat Dec 04, 2010 12:28 pm
please confirm 4.2.1
Load a loop and change some volume envelopes and hit play.
Instant crash for me.

He replied the first time I emailed him via the contact link on the electrify site. Ganted he told me he couldn't reproduce my problem lol, but it was within a day.

Thats nonsense.
There are others with the same issue.
On another note do you use reactable, if so how many loops can it play at once?
KrisM - Sat Dec 04, 2010 5:26 pm
No no I meant the first time I emailed for a problem unrelated to this. I haven't heard from him yet regarding this issue.
KrisM - Wed Dec 08, 2010 5:18 pm
I heard from him.
Dear ELECTRIFY-Users,
some people have problems running ELECTRIFY on iOS 4.2. I have prepared an update 2.0.1 which will hopefully be available next week on the App Store. There are also some new features like an updated clip matrix and a virtual keyboard for entering notes (no live playing yet, sorry).
So please be patient for another one or two weeks for the update to appear.

I got that too.
An active developer would of had an ios4 build ready for when it was released.
KrisM - Thu Dec 09, 2010 6:02 am
Perhaps. But a lot of iOS developers are also just one person, and these people often don't get their income exclusively from their app(s). There are still apps being released without 940x460 support

Which I think iPad should support when full-screened, but that's another subject
Still, this particular crash is pretty bad and is something that could have been quickly found. It's not like it was hidden in some obscure, rarely-used function.
It would be nice if every decimaled iOS release didn't break a large number of apps on the AppStore, though

Sure but devs have accsess to beta versions of the sdk months before for the exact reason, to make the apps new os ready.
