Just released. $15.00 for a MS20 + sequencer and a 6 part drum sequencer using 6x MS20s for drum sounds. Sounds great and is a treat to use. I never used a real MS20 or the Korg Legacy collection but this is pretty impressive. It appears to be pretty much the same as the PC version. Nothing missing. Let me know if i'm wrong.

I played a bit with it yesterday and it's very impressive.
Many great/smart details such as the type of scale in the "pitch" kaos pad.
For 13 Euros this is really a fantastic piece of software.

Not sure i like the "analog" sequencer of the synth. May have to get used to it.

Then you definitely need the unreal iMS20 Wink

Still coming to terms with it. Something feels "off" about the workflow for me, maybe it's the virtual wires (I'm not a fan of using Reason Razz). It sounds great, though

I guess i could compare the real an unreal. What really bugs me is why doesn't Korg release The MS 20 as a plug in on its own.Yes i know of the Analogue edition etc but a plugin in its own right. Same with Roland. They should release all their
classic synths in plugin format instead of leaving it to others.Yeah sure the market for hardware is bigger and they make more money selling digital pianos than plugins but i think a lot of the majors have missed the boat on this one.

There's already a thread:
Korg iMS20 and then some for iPad

This is a great app, and unlike rebirth, one I actually use. When it gets the export feature (I now use the record audio workaround) it will be very useful....

Errr, they do now. You can buy them individually.

Looks like they added MIDI in for the MS-20 and the Drums.
Just downloaded the Update, you will need the camera connection kit, another 29 euros or so...

This is Apple territory, no one speaks about problems. Just hand over your money like everbody else Smile

You don't read iTunes/App Store reviews much, or work for a company that makes iOS apps do you? Trust me, plenty of problems spoken about. But I'll pour a bowl of cornflakes for you to piss in anyway if it makes you feel better.

I think you do have to be careful with it as I've heard some. Mostly when calling up a menu or something like that. For the most part it's ok. A quick look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkvL3PMILyw

Edit, the axiom 25 does work with my belkin 7 port hub.

Plug the hub into the cck, then the axiom into the hub.

Bingo!

don't go blaming m-audio too quickly

in the os 4.0 update apple lowered the max power draw from the ipad. so a lot of things that worked on 3.2 now don't work- including my zoom h4n (worked as an audio interface)

so yeah, most things won't work with the ipad. it has to be pretty low powered. i'm happy my akai lpk25 mini keyboard works fine still

the other option is a usb midi interface. the e-mu midi 1x1 works for me. problem is you have to power up whatever you plug up to it. i've just been using it to connect my ipad to my computer's midi interface. that way you can sequence apps that use core midi (nlog, minisynth, ms-20...)

the ipad sure is a cool little device. too bad it's so amazingly frustrating to do what you want with it though...
