So in WS I want to use the mod wheel (CC 1) to control the amp envelope attack time. I've set up a modulation "Source = CC1 , Destination = O1 Amp Envelope Attack , Amt=127 , Min=0 , Max=127" but nothing changes when the mod wheel is moved. Seems a simple thing to do but I'm stuck

Those settings seem appropriate, and as long as you are using Layer 1 and it is on and you have a waveform loaded in that layer, this should work. I am in the process of rebuilding my audio computer, so I cannot try to reproduce the problem at the moment.
EDIT: I am back up and running. I just verified that those settings do work. Interesting though that I found a preset where they didn't work momentarily. If I can reproduce this again, I will post a bug report.
Also, this reminds me of a wanted feature - William, would it be possible to have visual feedback of mod matrix changes - eg. the modifiers move the actual controls on the synth? I bet this would be CPU intensive, but maybe we could have a switch to have this on/off, it could be very handy.

Thanks for testing. Strange though as I can't get it to work on any patch. If I route CC 1 to something else like the filter it works, just not the amp envelopes.

Hello, are you using V6.2.0?
Wk
cytone - Sun Jan 02, 2011 4:43 am
I'm using the one from your download page which is Nov 7 2010 but if I do about box it says B600H?
WilliamK - Sun Jan 02, 2011 4:47 am
That's an older beta version, you need to download the new official release V6.2.0 which fixes some issues. PM me your email.

William, Just found I am running 6.2. I hadn't updated the data files at the same time as the VST files so I managed to confuse it. So both VST and data are up to date now but I'm still having the same issue.

07/14/2011 I have opened a ticket on this, but no answer until now:
Quote:
Amplifier Envelope Attack Time is always 0 if Velocity is programmed to modulate this Parameter, no matter what value I choose for AMT, MIN or MAX in modulation matrix.
Also the layer doesn't matter. The slider for Attack does nothing until I delete the modulation.
Is there a way to fix this behaviour?
I want to use this modulation for Pads and Strings.
Bug is in v6.2 and 6.28g.
Host is FL Studio 10.
Could this be the same bug as with mod wheel?

Hmm...
Still no reply from Wusik.
Not on this board and not to the ticket.

Confirmed, I have relayed this bug to William

Wusikstation has this behaviour already in V5, so it is an "oddity" which has been overlooked all this time. We'll have a look to see if there is a simple fix for this ...
[edit]
I have submitted a bug report in
Official Wusik Station V6 Tracker.

Hello, sorry you had problems and feel left out, but we also had problems here and things are a bit slow. Soon we will be able to resolve the whole situation up.
Best Regards, WilliamK

Hi WilliamK,
thanks for the answer, I will wait for the fix.
May your problems solve quickly.
Stoffel11 - Sun Jan 01, 2012 2:55 pm
Hello WilliamK,
a year has gone by since the first notice of this bug.
For my own part I'm now waiting nearly 6 months.
Stoffel11 - Wed Feb 01, 2012 5:36 am
Again a month has gone and no answer to the ticket...
Stoffel11 - Fri Mar 02, 2012 4:06 pm
7 month of waiting and still no answer to the support ticket.

Nothing.
If I would recommend this program?
Never!

Interesting bug. I've tried out your issue in WS7 - official release nw - and it is really a bug. I'm using Cubase, 32-bit. I've tried the same settings in Cakewalk's Rapture (Mod Matrix) and also in Synapse's Dune (Mod Matrix) - no problems.
This bug in WS 7 seems to be only in the envelopes. Very strange - also that you're waiting for a support. I hope
Asseca cares now after the official release. I have posted this issue in another topic.

AFAIK the problem is now solved in WSv7.
Unfortunately I cannot make any changes to WSv6 because it uses an old Intel compiler and the old VC6 which I do not have access to.
(WSv7 has been partly re-coded to enable 32-bit and 64-bit compilation in VC2010)

Sorry Asseca, but this problem is not solved in WSv7.
You can control p.e. the resonance or the lfo-depth via velocity but not the layer-envelopes or the mod-envelopes.

I have only tested with CC1, not with velocity, I'll need to check how velocity is programmed in WSv5 versus WSv7 to see what is going on ...
asseca - Sun Apr 01, 2012 10:29 pm
I have tested WSv7.0.0.101 and WSv5: the behavior is identical ...
Important: In WSv7.0.0.100 the AMP-envelopes could not be modulated, this was fixed in WSv7.0.0.101
After some more testing I have discovered that in both versions:
- MOD-envelopes cannot be modulated
- Velocity modulation on AMP-envelopes is monophonic
I shall study the source code to see if I can somehow allow the MOD-envelope to be modulated.
asseca - Fri Apr 06, 2012 5:20 am
Uploaded WSv7.0.1 which now hopefully fixes all AmpEnv and ModEnv modulation problems ...
See this
thread for a list of changes ...

Fine, so after 8 months (!!!) of waiting I just have to pay again 39,95 USD to get a bugfix for v6.28 and to get an upgrade which I don't need.
Wow, what a support...
I think you are fooling all your v6 customers.
Shame on you.
Did you perhaps email William with the situation and see if he would work out something for you?

- made a support ticket 07/2011.
- wrote in this forum since 07/2011.
- PM with william 10/2011.
- tried again PM 04/2012.

I got a new support request today, if it was you, it was replied. Sorry again, but we are not a big corporation, so we can miss a thing at times.

It has been mainly me doing the big job, and now we have Asseca helping us out.

We hope to be on top of things soon, as I recover from bad RSI problems and Asseca also improves his RSI situation up.
Stoffel11 - Sat Apr 07, 2012 2:19 am
Thank you for your support, everything is fine now.
I hope both of you will get well soon!
