Never heard of such a thing until today.

actually there's 401 of us who get a cut, we figured a way to get our 2 cents back...we're actually turning a profit and are eyeing a nice piece of bazooka joe with the profits
we call it our 401kvr plan

Wow, thanks for the link! I've seen these before, but at MUCH higher prices. It's ridiculous, but some companies sell these for $30-$50, no joke.
The problem is choosing which program to "stick" on the keyboard if you use multiple, lol!

would someone who gets these post here later on the quality? and/or any weirdness. I was just looking at the stickers for Logic 9, and it was a little confusing. they show 2 "control" keys; my computer only has one.

If you post a review of the stickers, I expect you to include a picture of one of your cats laying on the keyboard.
hibidy - Sun Feb 27, 2011 11:39 pm
I only have one cat
She doesn't lay on the keyboard, except once in a while on my laptop
hibidy - Sun Feb 27, 2011 11:41 pm
Crap, over at the sonar forum I heard someone saying these suck

if they LOOK like the pics I'm happy, if they do not stick well I can fix that, if they wear out then by then I'm sure I'll have already memorized a lot of them anyhow...as it is I use only a few keystrokes and samp has a good selection (but also you can customize them though I only have modded my mouse controls)
rifftrax - Mon Feb 28, 2011 1:50 pm
This is fecking awesome, I'm glad someone pointed this out...
thecontrolcentre - Mon Feb 28, 2011 3:25 pm
I bought the stickers for Live from these guys ...
http://www.editorskeys.com/ableton-live-keyboard.html
They are great quality, and have speeded up my workflow considerably. I stuck them on a remote USB keyboard, rather than on the laptop itself.
michael2 - Mon Feb 28, 2011 4:22 pm
okay, sounds like you guys aren't hating them so I'm going to risk the $5. thanks. guess i'll figure out what the extra control sticker is for when I get it.

my co-workers would be shaking in their boots.

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.......I am proof
I'm still glad I got them though. I hope they are at least decent as typing is second nature but when using the daw it's hunt and peck

Sometimes I don't want a bright light on just to see where my "s" key is

so hoping they show up better.
stanlea - Tue Mar 01, 2011 2:02 pm
Did a company ever tried to build a customizable keyboard with LEDs on each key so you can have one keyboard with multiple configurations ? If not too expensive, it would be a genius idea.
Meffy - Tue Mar 01, 2011 2:05 pm
Ohhh, stanlea, are you going to love this.

Maybe I should look at manufacturing these myself...
Gotta test the small sizes on our 30" printer/cutter.

has anyone received confirmation from the company that their order was received? The only confirmation I have received is from paypal

it confused me too

but yes, seems I'm all set
hibidy - Fri Mar 04, 2011 12:55 pm
I got them
They really look nice, bright and appear to be easy to read

. They were packaged nicely and there is nothing to be suspicious about (though I obviously have no idea if they will last.)
Too bad about that adrenalin guy and his spammy weird bull, put a real negative on what seems to be a good company
Hink - Fri Mar 04, 2011 1:01 pm
the tracking number says mine came to lowell around 7:30 am so I do not expect to see them until tomorrow...we don't get mail here until 4-5pm
Once again, about how they look...I really do not expect to be reading them for very long, I suspect the more common used ones will wear out but by then I'll know them anyhow. It's not like anyone else touches my keyboard or even sees it so if it looks worn that will be a badge for progress but I will still know what it's suppose to say. For 8 bux total who can complain?
Hink - Fri Mar 04, 2011 2:07 pm
well, mine are here and they do indeed look pretty nice...also the fact they packed them in a box to protect them is worth noting. They were actually in a standard size envelope inside the box. So I appreciate the fact they put them in the box too, that was cool. They certainly do not feel cheap or look cheap

Yeah, I thought the envelope was a nice touch too (not really sure why) and another person from the reaper forum commented on that as well

no, what I was saying is they could have just dropped a single stamp on it and dropped it in the mail in the envelope with no box. Of course then it would stand a good chance of damage so the box itself is appreciated.
They went on easy

Is it because you switched hosts?
I bought a set for Cubase back then and they're still holding up great!
I've though about getting a couple of cheap wireless keyboards and sets of these stickers for Photoshop, CorelDRAW, and 3ds Max, too.
Mark always comments on how colorful my keyboard is.

Kinda. I bought the sonar ones and the reaper ones. TBH, I meant to do both (even have the extra keyboard) but one thing after another happened, then I was too lazy to check if they are compatible with reaper 4 (I'm sure they are fine) then too lazy for this, then I forgot about them
Guenon - Wed Feb 22, 2012 6:48 am
Heyyy Hink, thanks for bumping this! Would have missed it otherwise.
So, one year later, the stickers are still attached and their markings haven't worn out either? Man, I'm very tempted to give these a go. They have a set for Ableton Live, too... If anyone has ordered those and can comment on the quality/readability of the symbols, that would be nice. The ones in the preview shots look pretty good.
4lb Kitty - Wed Feb 22, 2012 7:56 am
Mine don't show any wear at all after almost a year.
You won't need them for too long if you get used to using the shortcuts, but they're nice if you don't know them or forget one after not using it for a while.
