Terry,

Just trying this out and I think I might have found a minor bug.

Set EQ Mix to fully Dry, then move any of the 4 Band EQ Controls away from zero. Sound stops, returns when control is reset to zero. Applies to V1.66.

Everything else seems OK so far.

Win7 64, Energy XT2.6.

Rgds,
El Ratto

What's it coded in, Terry?

I'm not an expert, but I still like to know Wink

Hi El Ratto, Thanks, the bug has been solved, please download the plugin again.

Coded in SE for gui, eq-engine external code.

Also note there are some minor changes in this new build:

Neat plugin, Terry. I'm wondering: is it possible to describe what some of these functions are (I don't see a manual link)? What is "Aero enhancer", as oppsoed to "Clarity effect"? What's "body"? "Punch"? What are they doing to the signal?

Just hard to use something like this for mastering if one does not know how they affect the signal. (Of course you can "use your ears", which, fair enough).

Yes i'm lazy with writing manuals, or lack of knowledge how to build a pdf.
Anyway some quick walkthrough:
Aero does almost exactly the same as the new Maag eq does with the Air-band.
It adds 40K with a very steep Q-slope.

Clarity is a m/s equalizer.
Adds 67hz lshelf, 280hz peak, 2.5k peak, 8.3k peak to the Mid.
Adds 2.28k peak, 5.2k peak, 11.2k peak to the Side.
All with their special bandwide. 100/50 means 100% or 50% effect.
These special choosen bands helps to give clarity to any stereo material.

Punch adds subtle 48hz to the signal, Body adds 120hz.
Btw: hover with the mouse over any knob shows a tooltip what it does.

Just released on request a fourbands version CS4 1.0.

Hey Terry,

using this on some final mixes i've been doing over the past week and it is nice.

However, I just downloaded the "updated" 1.66 (with the ny solo), and I noticed that the unit is really pushing everything below around 48hz waaaaay up. When I bypass the 12 band eq, the boost goes away. This is even with all sliders in the 12 band at 0.

I am using in cubase.

Hi wiz1der, please download and try again, the file has been updated.
There was a weird bug in the eq-engine. Thanks for report, let me know if all is correct now.

Works great now! Thanks for the quick reply!

Really remarkable to me how generous you've been over the years with the results of so much hard work. And I very much enjoy the idiosyncrasies of your plugins, particularly the latest, your inclusion of things as diverse as NY comp and mid-side EQ at immovable points you've chosen. Tons of personality. Running through your presets on full program material may turn out to be a great way for me to audition alternative approaches to whatever I'm working on. Pretty great.

Just a shout out and and Thank You for all your work over the years. Your Excite plugin is in regular rotation here. Best of luck to you.

Cheers!
Cool
