Here's a synth vote for the upcoming OSC. This time there's no consideration for 64 bit versions as we saw last competition a 64 bit synth give more than usual issues so the only consideration this time is for varied styles. So please test them (multiple instances pushed hard etc), and vote as you would OSC entries by giving 5 pts to your favorite, 4 to second favorite and so down to 1. Votes must be in before 1st May (KVR time) (In case of equal scores after voting, synths will be separated by how many 5pts they got, then 4pts and so on)

Here goes the votes from a not living free-man. Too much work, lol.

1) Double Six XXL - 5 Points
A great classic with great sound capabilities.

2) Augur - 4 Points
Moving, morphing. Just what i need now. I love it.

3) Bleep - 3 Points
Because i want Chiptune for this month.

4) MiniMogue - 2 Points
Amazing, but upset about too many analog synths.

5) Atlantis - 1 Point
Not very interested on it lately, although it's not a bad synth.

becouse user must make own sounds almost surely and its only few synths what miss form PC. even still i can make similar things few my synths but i still dont have Augur waveforms and samekind easines make sounds.

Probably my all-time favorite VSTi.

2) Double Six - 4 Points
It will be awesome to see what OSCers do with an FMish synth, plus it's Odo's.

3) Augur - 3 Points
Has there ever been a Vector Synth in OSC?

4) Atlantis - 2 Points
Could be incredibly interesting if people explore the wave table capability.

5) Bleep - 1 point
I don't really get into chiptune stuff but I'd really like to hear what OSC does with it.

i am sorry but i cant test the others as i have an allergy which manifests itself whenever i use synths made in SynthEdit and SynthMaker... Nutter

Heh I think you're not alone in having that 'allergy', but would need a full list for the vote to count. Minimogue is anyway a thoroughly made synth and I think would surprise you soundwise too, so see if you can have a short go before the rash comes out.. Wink

thank you for the encouragement but my allergy goes so far that i usually choose Model E (or Charlatan... GODDAMN HANGING NOTES!) over the Minimogue Sad

This looks the most interesting to me. I would like to do some experimenting with FM.

Augur - 4 Points
I think this one has the potential for some serious sound mangling. This could be a lot of fun to create a tune with.

Atlantis - 3 Point
This one seems to have a great deal of flexibility. I think we would hear some very interesting tunes come from this synth.

MiniMogue - 2 Points
Tired of VA. It is certainly a cool synth, but it is hard to have any really new ideas with the same old tools at hand.

Bleep - 1 Points
No. No way. Not a chance. Am not going to do it. I know some of you have fond memories of 8-bit video games sounds, but not me. I hated the 64 then, and I hate it now. If there was a possibility of giving this thing negative points, I would do it.

Hang on guys! Looking back at his comments, I think JPQ cast his vote in the opposite order of what he intended. If he meant to vote 4 for Minimogue and 1 for Augur, then Minimogue wins Exclamation

I think it's the inverse of the markup. With his vote for Minimogue as 4 and Augur as 1, Minimogue gets 55 and Augur 50. (I just checked.)
