General Information
We've re-released our website, and consolidated our product line into a single sound repository. Previously we had been releasing single items every so often and updating other products to include more content, which just proved to get messy in the end. The new layout will allow us to add new products and update previous products while providing a better value to customers.
Available Licenses
There are two licenses of the library, which are described directly on the front page of the site: developer and producer. The licenses are available from the front page as well.
Customer Discounts
All DNR customers who own at least one product are able to get the discounted license by logging into their accounts and clicking on the "user discounts" link at the top.
Pricing and Availability
New User / Producer License: $49.00 USD
New User / Developer License: $149.00 USD
Current User / Producer License: $9.00 USD
Current User / Developer License: $29.00 USD
Newest Update: Identity Noise Loops

So, in my case (I own Mixcontrol and some other products), I can update for 9$ (producer's license) to get access to over 7 GB of libraries, which are updated 4 times per month?

Looks like a bargain to me.
I don't have to pay anything additional (for now) for Mixcontrol, right?
Congrats on the new site,btw!!
paterpeter - Sat May 05, 2012 8:51 am
For $9 a true no-brainer. Thanks!
ezelkow1 - Sat May 05, 2012 10:05 am
Are there download issues? I got the producer upgrade but when I click on it it brings up another login box. I tried putting in my existing account info but it doesnt accept it. This seems to happen with all the downloads in my account now

Nope, nothing else. Just trying to make the sound library a little less confusing so we can attempt to get the more involved projects done with as little headache as possible

If you shoot me your account info via PM, I can attempt to find the issue and get you up and running

Used the website support, already sorted out. Apparently there still may be issues somewhere with Chrome, logged in with firefox and all went well

I find the update packs to be weird... do I overwrite the old files or are they just additional sounds?
Thanks,
Forrest
GeorgeZ - Sat May 05, 2012 7:31 pm
Hmmm, think I might jump in and get a dev lic actually (current customer). I'd be silly to miss out on it (need legit samples to use in releases [manipulated of course!])!

There shouldn't be any duplicates, as they are just additional sounds and mappings in most cases

Well there is quite a bit of content in the bundle, as well as a lot of bonus sounds not listed on the page, so you should have plenty of material to work with

Have you considered offering loops in Rx2 format also?

Well, thank you very much! Awesome products and an even better deal!
Tricky-Loops - Mon May 07, 2012 12:51 pm
Wow! First 9 $ per library (few month ago) and now 9 $ for ALL libraries??
That's really a no-brainer!!!
If SoundSnap would also do this (all samples for 9 $), I would be happy for lifetime...

Not a problem
And for those who previously purchased the Developer's license - if you notice that your account now says "Producer's License" instead, please just shoot me a message and I'll get it sorted for you. This issue should only affect a very small number of users, but can be changed very quickly without an issue. We're investigating which users it has occurred with and should have it fixed without any problems, but if you do see it, just let me know or shoot us a contact from the site

I was thinking about jumping on the deal last month. Sometimes good deeds come to those who wait.
This is a friggin steal! Might as well go for the developer bundle at this price. Though if I am allowed to "remix" the sounds (chop up, mangle them, etc) and use them in a production while NOT selling them at a later state, I am allowed to go by the Producer bundle?
Sounds legit, where can I sell my soul?

Yes, the producer license is what you would want then. The developer's license is really just a source license for those looking to create and release commercial sample libraries

Ah, I misunderstood - no, the licenses are not "upgradeable" per se, specifically because of the discount that is already available in the user account system.

Then I'd say "Invest now, have enough room for later". For 29USD, still a bargain as former customer, and profit margin is higher as well.
Win-Win situation.

It is not, unfortunately. That particular product was re-license back to Erik Ekholm for release independently a few years back

Not to worry though, as the new set that we've been uploading (Delirium) should more than make up for the lack of ambient textures

Well, condidering that Reason has about 200gb of unreleased sample data that he had accrued prior to this year, the updates shouldn't be that much trouble. Organizing it all has been the main problem as of yet. The next hurdle is attempting to move to a new dedicated server so we have higher bandwidth and less bottleneck issues with user downloads
Steven
GeorgeZ - Sat May 12, 2012 1:47 pm
This will be one HELLA handy purchase. Thanks Steven
DNR Collaborative - Sun May 13, 2012 4:35 am
The sound repository has been updated with a new pack of "raw" female vocals. The pack consists of 106 "imperfect" samples and 244mb (uncompressed) of content. New demos will be added to the website later today, but users can all login and download the new content right away
An official update description will be published later on, but the samples have been created from a vocal session with a "funk" singer whom gave us a variety of raw performances, which were essentially going to be for source material for textures, which we thought would be good to give to users of the library for manipulating.
Steven
DNR Collaborative - Sun May 13, 2012 1:53 pm
We've added a small audio clip demonstrating the different categories of samples included with the package, which include dry, room, hall, merged and pitched. The samples were originally recorded as source content for Camel Audio's Alchemy synthesizer, but was never used. Below is a link to the clip on our soundcloud page:

My dentist needs some distorted Black & Decker drill sounds because his tiny dental drill sounds so smooth like my electric razor and he can't impress his patients enough with it... Because he drives a big Mercedes Turbo but his drill is too inconspicuous...

Here is the main screen of the software, which, as you can see, is a waveform generation tool, which runs as a VSTi instrument within your host application. Using a formula input, you can create custom waveforms and then export them from your host as a single-cycle, 2048 sample waveform, usable in various other VSTi instruments that support them (Alchemy, Helix, etc). There is still quite some work to finish, but it is not too far from being complete.

Hi Steven, as noted in the other thread +1 for randomizer button and also for a node edit function!
If I had to pick one or the other, Ie only had a choice of one of those I's say the node edit is more important than the randomizer.

All suggestions are valid at this point, but my only request is that you post it in the actual project thread so that I don't forget to mark it on the list

Will you at least give a (significant) discount for "group members" of the Producer Bundle, please? Producers want to create new waveforms, too, not only developers...

If you log into your account and click on 'user discounts' you will notice a little surprise for even you producer license holders

We thought that (while easily circumventable) this would be more than fair for all producer license holders

Well, the official V1 is still some ways off, but when it is finally released, yes, it will actually have a waveform creation guide, and quite a few presets included in it as well

We're still in the process of finding the best new features to include, but all Developer's subscribers will indeed get the software for free when it is released

The repository has been updated with a smaller package of 61 "household Items" sounds, including the following types:
- 2 and 3 Fingers snapping
- Duct tape tearing and peeling
- Aluminum can crushing
- Cardboard and paper tearing
- Tape measure noises
- Water pouring
- Plastic cup crushing
This sound library will be added onto quite a bit, along with further updates to the "Delirium" sound library over the next few months. An e-mail will be going out shortly to all users from our new e-mail update system, which includes exact locations of the new sounds inside the directory structure. New demos and detailed information on the sounds will be online shortly.

Thanks for the household samples, but I have already enough of it...
Could you make some field recordings from public locations, for example soccer stadiums, shopping malls, train stations, cafés, clubs? I love sounds with people cheering, celebrating, shouting, talking etc.
That would be great...and it wouldn't be more work than recording the household stuff.

Any idea if it's possible what I wanted (see post above) - samples from public locations?
Or what is planned in the future? I think, the household sample pack rather is for house wives who wanna make music while tidying up the rooms - will there be a sample pack for real guys (not only for craftsmen)?

Sure, I think that's doable - I've passed on your request to see if we can get that done in the coming weeks for you
Tricky-Loops wrote:

Well, the "Element Packs" series won't only be household objects and such, but for all types of vocal recordings, organic noises and field recordings (similar to your request) that can be used for not only creating musical compositions, but also for those who are working in the foley/FX field of the music industry, who may need these types of sounds for scoring and such
Also, this was not mentioned in the e-mail, as it was a last second addition, but we have decided to start also providing VSTi sounds with the package, and you will notice some already included, located under the "VSTi Soundpacks" folder. We will also be adding some brand new U-He Ace sounds, as well as some Alchemy sounds in the coming weeks and months

The licenses also apply to those sounds as well.

The new repository should show up in your account upon your next login, but if you have any difficulties with it, just let me know.

Any idea if it's possible what I wanted (see post above) - samples from public locations?
Sure, I think that's doable - I've passed on your request to see if we can get that done in the coming weeks for you
Tricky-Loops wrote:
Or what is planned in the future? I think, the household sample pack rather is for house wives who wanna make music while tidying up the rooms - will there be a sample pack for real guys (not only for craftsmen)?

Steven
Thanks, it's getting better and better...

Regarding the VSTi soundpacks (did you mean soundSETS?): Please think about some other good synths, too (not only U-He and Camel Audio), for example Z3ta+ 2, Synthmaster, Rhino etc.
BTW, could I use the samples also for commercial scoring with the Producer License? Even if I would use a FX sample unchanged for some scene?

Haha, now that's the "personal touch" to their customers that I love about smaller companies like TeamDNR, and that's why I would like to continue to support.
Big Thumbs up!

We will definitely be expanding the VSTi sounds for other synthesizers

Once I have definite information about which ones will be included, I will make sure to update the thread

Same here...
Just had to contact dnr support about something, super quick response, probably the best dealings I've had with a company's support!
Great samples and great company to deal with

Apparently we are also planning on providing a Kontakt-specific development\template library, so look for that as well

I've uploaded a package of Kontakt (3.5+) templates for the female vocals pack, under the new "Kontakt Templates" folder of the repository. Could some kind soul who uses Kontakt take a listen and see if they work properly prior to sending out the update e-mail to all users? I've added a simple AHDSR script to the interface as well, so hopefully all is in order and I can continue to create new Kontakt templates. Thanks in advance.

Stuff Kontakt. Put down your keyboard... HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUDE!

Anything new in the sound repository?
The last update was at June 26th, but you had promised that there should be 4 updates per month... Are you too busy with the Wave Designer?
