What with my illness and all it's been pretty slim on the making music front lately for me, but the other day I wanted to play. I loaded up a track I'd been working on that I'd got stuck at the breakdown compositionally speaking (I don't even think that's a word) I'd either lost interest in the track, or whatever and hadn't listened to it for about a month. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. I started thinking - why didn't you finish this? One reason was music ADHD. I tend to start tracks simultaneously, and when I started to work on another piece, this one was cast aside.
So, I guess my point (and I DID have one) is - I think it's good to go back and revisit stuff you've tucked away. Maybe there's a piece you haven't finished. Maybe there's a snippet of a melody you jotted down and forgot about. Listen to these with fresh ears and see if you don't get some inspiration again. I'm glad I did.

FRESH EARS!
