Hi
As the title suggested, i have a problem to use the SAGE converter correctly in order to import my own files into Stylus RMX
This though the REX file import seems to run and let me choose a name for the .rx2 file in the way to be converted,
But after clicking the convert button nothing seems to happened and there's none of the new SAGE files nowhere in my Mac
I know i should watch the video on line, but in the place i am yet, the speed connexion is quite too low for this unfortunately ( Burkina Faso/Western Africa )
Any suggestions ?

I found this, it could be related:
http://www.gearslutz.com/board/music-computers/486654-spectrasonics-sage-converter-not-working-mac-10-6-a.html
Maybe "Install Rex Shared Library OSX installer before running the Sage Converter". is the key.
To use the drag and drop method you drag up to 61 Rx2 files at the same time and drop it into the Sage converter, it will make a new library with them. In the dialog you choose a name for the library. You can also drag and drop a folder containing other folders, each one filled with up to 61 Rx2 files. The converter will make a library with the same structure and names as the folder and subfolders (the subfolders must contain Rx2 files, not more sub-subfolders) you dropped in it.

And, Member #2860, use the Instruments forum, for the sake of God. Not Getting Started.
You will always find more help there.

Strange i did as both you said and as it has been specified in the Gearlutz forum,
Result : i have the folders correctly converted that appears in Stylus RMX but without any files inside except a "data.xml" in each of them (specified by the finder as being a "final cut pro" file... a software that i don't own !)

weird ...huh ?!

- But I really thought it was nothing but a dumb newbie question !!!!!!

I think this mistery is clearly Spectrasonics support stuff. We could be running in circles forever without discovering what's wrong.
Anyway, in that thread someone said that he got it to work by putting the Rx2 files in his desktop and dragging and dropping from there, did you try that?

I seem to remember that Mac is different. I had trouble with it on PC, and fixed it by uninstalling it, then re-installing according to the directions I got from Spectrasonics tech support. The install directions for the converter aren't as clear as they should be.

This should likely be on their FAQ somehow, i'll have a look at their site...
