Found a Harmonix drum trigger for $5

Hooked it up to BFD via FL Studio. I wasn't sure it would work in a host but it's great. Much more feel than tapping out the drums on the keyboard. Only flaw is no dynamic sensitivity.
Not like my old Yamaha DTXExplorer but it's the best $5 ever on an instrument.
One take so a lot of flaws.

I listened to this earlier but had no time to comment. When I came back, you are on SoundCloud!
Gotta say, I liked the guitar solo. It sounded really clear. I'g glad you're happy with the EH trigger. The track has a nice live feel to it. Why did you get rid of the Yamaha? I just bought a Roland TD4K, which I'm hoping to use with SD2 if I ever learn to play in time. I have to practise tonight.

It sounds raw and real, very good. I'm glad you achieve a cheap way to trigger drums, that's always satisfiying, very nice gtr solo btw
Cheers

Thanks for the consistent listens Seismic and you too Laguna. I opened up an account a few minutes ago after checking out others in the thread and did a switch.
Gave the Yamaha to my son so he could practice more without disturbing neighbors.
I really would like to find something inexpensive with more heads that is just a trigger....no brain needed. Even this cheap Harmonix is fun to tap on.

It can be difficult to build an improvised song doing all the parts. Sounds like you did the guitar first, the drums second followed by the bass part, correct?

I played the guitar to one of the programmed beats on my cheap Yamaha PSR-85 keyboard while recording the guitar into FL Studio with the Einstein plug which puts it into a channel as an audio file. I then laid drums to the guitar track followed by the bass part in FL Studio. I practice my guitar a lot jamming with a beat from my keyboard in various keys. This one happened to be in A. The Yamaha beat was #30 Heavy Metal! But the end song sounds nothing like the generic beat I was playing with.
Thanks for asking.
