i am still thinking about getting this synth hope it works fine in fl studio though and i also have alchemy since a month now and am very happy still i would love to check out another nice granular synth as i dont like the NI ones much .....
buying padshop costs 50 bucks no intro price i guess and steinberg doesnt do summer sales etc. afaik, so it is better to buy the normal version and then upgrade for 10 bucks isnt it? so you pay 60 instead of 80, or am i getting something wrong?
man i dunno, i need it or not

Looks like purchasing Padshop then the Pro Upgrade will cost you less. I think Steinberg may eventually do away with the ability to purchase the non-pro version separate from Cubase. Maybe as soon as the boxed inventory is sold off.....just my theory.
Of course you have to decide if you need it. I have Padshop from Cubase Artist and still have not jumped to spend the $10 for Pro. It sounds great and you can use your own samples. I'll probably upgrade just not today or tomorrow.

ahhh ok i mixed it up, the 80 euro pro package has the expansion (30 euros normally) included, when you buy padshop normal it's 50 euros + 10 for pro upgrade or 35 euros for the extra soundpack as well.

Padshop Pro is fantastic, it's by far the most accessible granular synth I've used and it has a lot of depth. If you've already got Alchemy you might not really need it, but I actually prefer the workflow in Padshop Pro and can't recommend it enough to anyone with any interest in granular synthesis.
