I got to playing with Rick Jelliffe's new oscillator and before I knew it I had a new P5/600 synth... :o I guess, I just built one so it was still fresh? The Oscillator suits this kind of synth perfectly. It sounds good, different but good. Give it a go. No fancy GUI, patches or effects. No CPU to speak of ether!! :)

This VCO does not lean (slow turn on) like the native SE oscillator. It sounds buzzy and bright through a standard SE filter.

Thank's Rick it's a very nice change!

Sorry it was very promising but it's unstable and there is nothing I can do to fix it, at the moment. I've removed the links and files.

You can still get the P5/600 plugins.

It's in the files section at the Yahoo SE list. It's still beta. I might be in a little hot water over this but I couldn't stop myself. :hihi:

I was going to explain but I had to go... Anyway, I just started testing stuff and addding to it and before long it was a Prophet. It seemed like a really good way to test a new VCO.

The P-600 is a pretty good standard (If I do say so myself) http://www.ele4music.com/p-600.zip to go by. If I can program the p-600 patch set and it still sounds good. I'll use it in the MX6. It'll save a ton of CPU over the old way of doing things.

So has anybody got to play with it yet. What do you think of the oscillator sound? Especally the upper ranges. I'll try some of the p-600 patches tonight.
