heres the angry side of synth1. dont piss it off
Is the kick made with Synth1??

Synth1 is that kind of tool that should be unknown just as some other plugins (doesn't matter if they are freeware o payware), but unfortunately KVR does the job of let it be used by unexperienced hands.

I think that the only problem to reach everyone is that handling banks is not really easy (fxb's doesn't keep the full bank) and it only manages 10 (x128 presets) banks that is a poor offer to people used to work with presets.

But once you know what's going to happen tweaking each control before touch anything presets are only a fast way to the sound you're trying to get, and Synth1 has a clean interface that accelerates the understanding of it's synthesis engine.

Of course, without some free plugins like Synth1, some vstdevelopers wouldn't better benefits, because this synth is the starting point for a lot electronic music creators.

hell no. there from my cs1x percussion set. imo the cs1x had the baddest kicks anywhere. i dunno, but ive heard the kicks from the cs1x are often tweaked to to create commercial sample libraries. and rightfully so. all sounds from soul matrix programed by me :)

Though i doubt she is the same person (and i honestly hope this is NOT the same person), I prefer you to say your nolween rather than our because i don't want her especially when she sings :hihi:

I'm not Mlle Leroy, i'm more comfortable with synth programming than singing :-)
Synth1 sounds good and is stable/low cpu/easy and fast to work with.
The "easy and fast" is big part of the success i think, a synth like Farbraush V2 is a good challenger for the sounds and the low cpu load but its presets management with MIDI program change is a tue-l'amour.

This is the greatest and best synth in the world. . . tribute.

Long time ago me and my brother Kyle here,...
we was hitchhikin' down a long and lonesome road.
All of a sudden,
there shined a shiny demon...
in the middle...
of the road.

And he said:
"Play the best patch in the world,
or I'll eat your souls."

Well me and Kyle,... we looked at each other,
and we each said...
"Okay."

And we chose the first plugin that came into our host,
And it just so happened to be,
The Best Synth in the World,
it was The Best Synth in the World.

Look into my eyes and it's easy to see
One and one make two,
two and one make three,
It was destiny.

Once every hundred-thousand years or so,
When the sun doth shine and the moon doth glow
and the grass doth grow oooh

Needless to say,
the beast was stunned.
Whip-crack went his whippy tail,
And the beast was done.
He asked us:
"(snort) BE you angels?"
And we said,
"Nay.
We are but men."
Fwonk!
Ahhh, ahhh, ahhh-ah-ah-ah-ah-ahh,
Ohhh, whoah, ah-whoah-oh!

This is not The Greatest Synth in the World, No No!
This is just a tribute.
Couldn't remember The Greatest Patch in the World, yeah,
No!
This is a tribute, oh,
To The Greatest Synth in the World,
All right!
It was The Greatest Synth in the World,
All right!
And it was the best mother fuckin' preset,
The Greatest Synth in the world!

Allllllright!
'Ti Tuga digga tu Gi Friba fligugibu Uh Fligugigbu Uh Di Ei Friba Du Gi Fligu fligugigugi Flilibili Ah
(Bow) (Bow) (Bow) (Ooh) (Bow) (Bi)
Fligu wene mamamana Lucifer!
(Mene) (LUCIFER)!
(guitar solo)
And the peculiar thing is this my friends:
the preset we played on that fateful night it didn't actually sound
anything like this patch!

This is just a tribute!
You gotta believe it!
And I wish you were there!
Just a matter of opinion.
Ah, f**k!
Good God, God lovin' ,
So surprised to find you can't stop me.(scat)

O hallelujah I'm found! Rich motherf**ker compadre aaaaah!
All right!

I dunno if that could be considered the "angry side" of synth1, but it sounds good nonetheless and it demonstrates that synth1 does not sound cheap!

Check out SciFiArtMan's music for definitive proof. . . .

Note to self: Look up the phrase "tue-l'amour." And check out Farbraush V2.

Synth1's great, but as the manual's a bit sparse in english...
I've got a patch where I'd like to lessen the initial percussive sound (similar to the Hammond organ 'thunk')a bit, as it sounds a little fuzzy/static when playing rapid intervals.
What knobs on Synth1 would lessen this initial transient? thanks.

discovery can get quite raw and aggressive if you want it to. imho, more so than synth1.
