Old Free VSTi Gems From The Past

I thought about a video of the Wii playing, it might be kind of boring. It's basically(if you've ever seen the Wii controller)hi hat in my right hand, snare in left, and then buttons for the rest. The motion stuff works pretty well for notes, I tried making a CC thing in Synthmaker and it's only 2 states, so that's not real useful.
The guitar is a Rock Band Mustang, the cheapest midi guitar, and the easiest to use. I haven't had a Roland thing for a long time.

No, the lack of an explicit license to distribute does not grant an implicit one. It's a copyright violation for anything that is not licensed for distribution, e.g Audacity is clearly because of its open source license.mztk wrote:how come companies like Behringer can bundle freeware plugins into packs
and redistribute them as if they are part of their product, in a download
from their site? is this just because licenses(lack of?) do not prohibit this?
That said, it was common practice in days of yore to grant a license to distribute to anyone who wanted to. Such licenses often came with restrictions on how much you could charge for the software. The idea here was that you wanted people with the power to distribute to distribute, but you didn't want them selling your software.
I'm not going to go through all of them, but the TweakBench info.txt states:
So, anyone can put this product on their website, as is, and distribute it to anyone else. They ask you to link back to them, but it's not required. You are granted the right to make as many copies of this version, the screenshot, and the demo mp3s as wanted. You can distribute exact copies of the original version as electronic media to anybody you like.
Note, there's nothing here explicitly denying someone the right to sell this, for example as part of a freeware bundle, on ebay, or, as part of a bundled software package. If this had no distribution clause, selling wouldn't be allowed because almost any distribution would be a copyright violation, but since they've granted the right to distribute, but, not limited how, it's pretty much fair game and Bherringer is well within their legal right to distribute this for as long as they want to.You may also post links to anyone to download the plugins directly, but we encourage linking to the appropraite page on the site, as to display the most recent version information.

I just made a video jam with it and a synth part, if it looks ok I'll add it to my site tomorrow. My cat did walk by the camera at the beginning. I think it works as a demo for the wii stuff. I used a sustain pedal directly into my audio interface with kickpo to convert the blips into midi-for the bass drum.mztk wrote: WheatMidi -
Edit-here is a basic demo of wheatmidi and kickpo https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/347 ... atmidi.wmv

VST Planet has got a mirror, and then there is something on Facebook:eidenk wrote:The download links are super hard to find and they are dead in addition.

As the synths are in development, I guess the webpage will be updated with download links in not so long...

Thanks.
I scrolled down the initial page and the links [just above the donate button] for both the dll and zip worked for me.

Tell this to Sound & Recording who lets you download them from their website: http://www.soundandrecording.musikmachen.de/arkmabat wrote:They're not free. Magware: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=166729
58 in all have been made by u-he if I am not mistaken and about half of that are freely downloadable from the mag website. You can also find the first podolski version there btw.

d*ng, that link's blown now
i've been wanting those for a long time (feel free to PM me..)
RBR, that looks like a lot of hard work lol
you need a Beastie Boy doing the rap on that.
----------------------
hey is it just me, or is checking the 'products' tab getting
to be a bit disappointing, for VST? it's all soundpacks for
Kontakt. i feel those should have a separate listing.
