I doubt I'll find much more fresh stuff mztk, especially that I am not really on the hunt. I doubt there is a lot more to be found anyway.

I've got one item left in my bag for now however and that's Waveshop, a new open source audio editor. It's still a bit thin on features and there is no plugin support but it's super fast, apparently very stable, and can open unusual formats such as xi instruments, akai samples and some more which makes it interesting.

checked out the alogrithmic compo machine: wouldn't work
on Vista :(

waveshop: anything that will open akai samples is cool..
here, have a look at this...properly belongs in circuitbending
forum, since it concerns a mod for a Yamaha RX5..but he has built
a software soundloader program for his mod...clever stuff: USB
interface to the drum machine, and converts wavs to RX5 format.

Some nice stuff posted, thanks eidenk.

I had a look through that CM Special 58 and it's got 7 or 8 runbeer creations included over three or four pages. Should have a whole CM Special to himself, I reckon.

Back to the hunt.
Never heard of these before (three synths and a couple of fx);
RH-morph
BassSyn
basslead
filterdoos
phaser2

S8-IDD Bassdrum, to be honest not much use to man nor beast, but someone might dig it.

working link is in UnionS8 last post. The first post has a link to an earlier model called BeeDee but the links dead.

The web archive is acting a bit strange with a lot of links right now (Sunday evening). Try again later...?

An automatic compressor supposed to be able to replace a mixing engineer, a vibrato-tremollo, a spectral plugin suite and finally a feature limited but fully useable and non-expiring trial for those who want a nice trumpet or brass orchestra.

VST2413
VST2413 is a software FM synthesizer based on YM2413 (OPLL) emulator. YM2413 is well known as low-cost FM sound chip, and was used on Sega Master System and FM-PAC sound expansion cartridge for MSX.

I tried that above link, the stardust one, some good ideas, cpu can get high, and total lack of presets or manual.
