AWESOME. Thanks for this!!

Post

Very kind of you. Thanks very much.

I had been looking for a few of these a couple of months back.

I've put an A-Z together with over 14000 items listed. It is reasonably up to date as regards links to download sites. Just click on my signature. You can download it to work off line and re-arrange it as you like.

And you have them all?

For example in your table the links to Mothman (all versions) are dead links. Do you have them, please?

Arturia are 15 years old soon (so says an email) - did their founder ever do freeware, I wonder?
Just curious. I'm wondering about their ancient history?

their first thing was called ? Storm? i tried it, and then Orion came out,
and it loaded VST instruments and played them with zero/low latency
with directX -when Cubase needed a decent soundcard and allkinda
adjustments to make VSTi at all playable over MIDI- so i switched to that
and stuck with it since.
bit primitive for audio but excellent for checking out VST plugins quickly.
(still with v7.6 here, need to upgrade to see if it handles MIDI plugins yet.)

nb: at some point Synapse let (i think it was ) The Mix have a magware
version of Orion, called Orion Basic, which is a fully working version
of something between v2 and v3 or Orion. it is the ultimate freeware
VST host, although a little buggy like early Orion versions. would be
great if it could be on these pages. i'd ask, but i can't find Richard Synapse
on here atm (and he probably won't go for it - although it could drum up
some business for current version)

I remember that, used to play with it a fair bit...

I got rid of all my old CM/TM/FM disks a while back so can't help, gave them to someone here, can't remember who...
