Korg Wavestation VST bank/patch question

this is strange when i look at the editpage of a patch it shows me of what it consists.

for example rom 8 patch 10 constist of 4 patches:



when i want to have the part 1 then it's at ROM 10 No 34

but when i click on my bank there i dont see at ROM 10 no 34 this patch...

The basic structure of the Wavestation is a bit counfusing. The Wavestation knows three types of patches:

- Performance: this is what's called a "patch" on other synths. the WS has 50 of those in every bank

- Patch: a performance could consist of up to 8 patches (with split and/or layer) and a patch contains up to 4 OSCs A-D (e.g. for vector synthesis) and all the other "typical" thing like filters or envelopes. Some patches also require a wavesequence which is also stored separately.
The patches for a single performance could also come from different banks. Each bank stores 50 performances and 35 patches.

- multi: a selection of performances which could be split or layered

if you think about that the WS has 32 voices of polyphony a performance with 4 patches and 4 OSCs each would result in a duophonic sound only since such a performance would need 16 voices already !! This is of course only really true for the hardware, in the software you have more voices.

In the Paul_WS.zip there's a really deep patch called "Poseidon's Pad". Certainly worth loading up.

Yep. know that and is great indeed.

The Wavestation even after almost 25 years (where i own the EX keyboard since around 10 years now ; software from Analog edition around 9 years and from Digital Edition around 8 years) still is the ultimate pad synth IMO. Some of those opads are so beautiful i could almost cry...
