But there IS a mod for MKS-70 with real PWM, extra LFOs and envelopes, etc. So it wouldn't be losing its character, really. You'd have a virtual MKS-70 with the PWM mod in your computer, in as many instances as your computer can handle. I see that as a very big advantage.

GVST happens to have a beautiful, simple, low on CPU plugin to tackle the problem: http://www.gvst.co.uk/ Cheers!
That's how I normally do it, but I thought it was a good idea to inform Martin, so he could do something about it before he made it the final version.

OK i call it back, now it works. I have no idea what happened before.martin_l wrote:That is strange. It works for me.Mutant wrote:Also i don't know if it is a bug or if the GUI works this way, but in REAPER i can't undo any changes i make to the synth, to the DAW the changes simply don't exist.
It is a very minor thing though, PG8X is great anyway.
Have you checked whether you enabled "Save minimal undo states" or something like that in the compatibility settings of reaper?
Cheers,
Martin
And no, that "save minimal undo states" was not enabled.

Have tried it yesterday and it definitely have some MKS-70 plastic tone and vibe.
I'm expecting more cloned 80ths pop with it.
Good job, martin_l

GLOBAL GAIN BUG?
after editing the global gain entery in pg8x.ini, then opening in savi-host, the gain slider in the settings section appears to have moved VISUALLY to the +6db position but the actual audio output appears to stay at +0db. I then doubleclick on the gain slider (without moving it) then the global gain seems to increase audiably to the +6db setting.

Confirmed with init patch :DuX wrote:Could be DC offset somewhere in the audio path, too.

Same sort of test with 7/26/2015 beta:

No DC offset, but a significant offset on the first note.

Yes, I found what happened. In order to improve the behaviour of the XMOD, I removed the HP of DCO1 before the XMOD, and forgot to re-introduce it for the total signal. Will be fixed in the next version.caonoize wrote:Confirmed with init patch :DuX wrote:Could be DC offset somewhere in the audio path, too.

OK, now I need someone to point me to the 'legacy' 'fan dedication' JX8P factory patch downloads!
edit: Found some! Link to zipfiles of the sysex factory patches, and some fan patches also.

Is it possible to export patches from the PG8X to a real JX8P via sysEX. Are they compatible?
