On Topic : G force Oddity is the best emulation of an Odyssey.

I did many one on one comparisons of the arp originals with the plug ins.
thats odd ! the original ARP guy said it was great
Sound on Sound disagree

Amazon: why not use an alternative

I bought two Arp Odysees when they came out. Back in those days, there was no such thing as a "preset". Needed two to gig. While playing a song on one Odysee, I would be setting the other one up for the next song. Sometimes, I would get lucky and could use the same patch or only have to move one or two sliders for the next song. Every time I hear that old song, "Fly Robin Fly", on the radio, I cringe. :scared: I have the Oddity; it is a great emulation except it is more stable than the old Arps.

Gordon is a legendary reviewer for SOS, but I think he missed the boat on this one. Maybe the unit he had for comparison was so early and rare it had a totally different character then the Telex editions that the rest of us have encountered, if we're very lucky. Or maybe he got a hold of a buggy early version of the software. I don't know, but the TimewARP sounds like vintage analog, while the Arturia has that same generic sound shared by the rest of their early line.

This is an enhanced "3 Osc Odyssey" (2600 with Osc sync and loopable envelopes!), with Minimoog features. It can make true Odyssey sounds, except those with duophony. Unlike all other freeware "emulations", this one does not make aliasing nor digi-noise rubbish when modulating at audio rates. TIP: Audio rate modulation in the Odyssey is possible via the S/H MIxer signal.

So, in 2017, are there any free decent 64 bit Odyssey clones out there? I do own Arturia's 2600v, the last version, if that matters.

Not free, but If you're patient then wait until the VST version of this comes out.

Is there a VSTi coming? BTW I really would love an update to the Korg collection.
