I'd be seriously interested, but I'd have to be able to order a custom left-of-the-keyboard controller section: a joystick at the far left end of the case, with a 3-way toggle switch for transpose and assignable pots for cutoff, resonance, lfo, etc. all right next to it. The joystick should point left or perhaps to around 10:30 instead of 12:00. Even better would be to have a palm rest and 3 small spring-loaded joysticks for each of the last 3 fingers of the left hand, arranged vertically just above the bender. Or, there could be a recess for the fingers on the left end of the case where the three joysticks paddles would be.
Because Bob Moog put the cutoff pot on a mini where it made sense in a signal flow diagram, players have been reaching across the keyboard away from the pitch bend ever since...makes no sense at all. The interface is always an afterthought to house the electronics with re-hashed, frankly stupid cost-saving controller concepts thrown on (the 3-way toggle was the best transpose switch ever, you could tell the position and switch octaves much more quickly and all without even looking, but a logic button was cheaper). I think keyboard controller design is dominated by a distinct lack of imagination and, apparently, involvement on the part of actual players, and is an overlooked, untapped market.
<-- me after 35 years of controller frustration

Analogs are great
tuning them is not
had to buy ten fans
to cool'em when they're hot
Analogs are easy
connecting them is not
I hate cable spaghetti
and midi clusterfuck
Analogs are cool
repairing them is not
I lost my money trying
it costs a bloody lot
Analogs sound better
recording them is pain
I spend ten years trying
and they were all in vain

after all this 70+ page hype I tried the demo. I really can't get it. To my hears Oatmeal just sounds as good (and to my ears Oatmeal actually is the reference for a nice VA sound).

That is the great thing about overhyped synths; people hear exactly what they want to hear, so there is really nothing to discuss.AKJ wrote:after all this 70+ page hype I tried the demo. This is the only softsynth that I've used that inspires me in the same way as my Juno. I feel like I can build a whole tune from it rather than using one or two sounds like most softsynths. The sounds are not overly complex either and lay nicely in a mix, just like the Juno. The added bonus is having the Jupiter type tones too.
Only wish the full presets were available when this was first previewed because I would have bought it straight away having heard its true potential.
No need to ever consider a Jupiter 8 now, this is easily good enough for my ears.

OK Look. Please don't send a me a barrage of of nastiness over this. All these memes are facetious so please take them for what they are. I hope you have a laugh.
