Are Korg Legacy Plugins available in 64 Bit?

Hey,
Currently thinking of expanding on my 4 gigs of RAM and going 64 bit with Logic, I seem to be maxing out the RAM a bit lately so probably time for an upgrade.
Every plugin I have either has 64 bit support already or its maker said it's in the works which is great but I can't find any info about 64 bit Korg plugins. Do they exist? Will they exist? Can they exist?

Just noticed that there is a Korg Forum, unfortunately it's not moderated by Korg so they probably don't have much activity on it:

Looks like it's been asked there a couple of times and nobody seems to have heard anything about 64 bit versions.

Just because the Korg Legacy plugins aren't 64bit doesn't mean that they won't work on a 64bit system. They absolutely will work just not with the benefits of being 64bit.

I find the Logic 32-bit bridge to be very unstable, as far as I'm concerned any VST that isn't 64 bit isn't useable in 64-bit Logic.BFunKu wrote:Just because the Korg Legacy plugins aren't 64bit doesn't mean that they won't work on a 64bit system. From what I can tell the evolution of the Korg Legacy plug-ins ended with the Kronos project. You can either buy a Kronos or keep a 32 bit Mac on hand to serve as a Legacy plug-ins host. I would go with the latter.

...except the Kronos does a whole lot more than just the Legacy collections. For example, you can actually put a signal through MS-20 chain, which you cannot do in the plugin version.

Sadly, it does indeed seem Korg has abandoned the Legacy Series. They integrated two of the Legacy synths into the Oasys and then the Kronos. It makes no business sense to compete with themselves. If someone wants those legacy synths, they think you'll want them enough to get a Kronos. Thing is, the Kronos doesn't (yet?) have the rest of the legacy series (no M1 or Wavestation).

Such a pity. The bit bridge for them in Reaper is unstable, and there is a bug with MS 20 which makes it unusable.

Maybe its a misunderstanding, but are you saying that you can't route audio through the MS20 plugin as though it were an effect?EvilDragon wrote:For example, you can actually put a signal through MS-20 chain, which you cannot do in the plugin version.
Im only asking because the MS20-FX plugin lets you do exactly that.

There has been updates to the synths just recently.. but no 64bit unfortunately. So i don't think it's totally out of the question. I'm sure when they've sold enough Kronos' they'll make em 64bit.
I'd love to see them as 64bit plugs too because M1 is the greatest VSTi rompler ever \o/

not to mention the Kronos costs around $2499 for the 61 key version and 88 key version is $3799Jace-BeOS wrote: Thing is, the Kronos doesn't (yet?) have the rest of the legacy series (no M1 or Wavestation).

Well, there's that. However, MS-20 in Kronos/OASYS has some additional features, some additional ports to plug cables into, and stuff like that. Also, it does not sound the same as the plugin version, it sounds (arguably) better.
