How did I know to expect a comment like this.

I think it's one of those franchises, which has bloated so much after it's inception, you don't really know what entrance to use, because it looks like a maze from a distance. The fans know what is true and what is in canon and what is right and wrong and all that, etc.

But an outsider only sees the surface. Like the new movies, or that 80s/90s television series they keep re-running next to every other 90s shows.
An outsider would have to get into it. And an outsider doesn't have time. Oh well, maybe after Game Of Thrones' sixth season ends. Or not.

I guess for those with an IQ below 100 it would appear as an upenetrable maze, yes.

When it comes to Star Trek TNG most of the episodes are standalone, and can be watched with little or no prior knowledge of the Star Trek universe.

I wasn't thinking about IQ, though it's probably true, that in general, many un-intellectuals don't see much in it, because it doesn't have so much of that popcorn-aspect to it, at least from what I've seen. Well, I guess, the new movies have "corrected" that "flaw"... which perhaps, never was a flaw?

Really, I respect the integrity of the series. It just never has struck me. It might, some day, though.

I hated the show...when i saw Spock for first time i was like eewwww...
Years later, in my early 30es i watched a full episode on TNG...the rest of the story is,
i know every script, franchise, movie, actor, names, languages, the whole concept.

I don't have time for all the details but it can be done on any VA Soft Synths
using a SAW Osc, the Filter and an Envelope, it can be done very easily.
