Another positive review of Oxium on this page

Quote of the conclusion :

"I'm a big fan of Xils-Lab, partly because I like the quirkiness of their instruments. So when I first loaded Oxium, I wondered if the more conventional parameter set available here was compromising their leftfield ethos. My mind is now more than reassured that there's plenty here to keep serious programmers on their toes. The synth engine sounds great, but the quirks of combining oscillator and LFO waveforms, the incredibly extensive modulation routing and the grid options all combine to produce a hugely flexible, rich-sounding instrument."

Interesting to read in extenso because -imho- the reviewer, Jono Buchanan, perfectly points out and captures the Spirit of Oxium, in not so many words ( A simple page ), and in a much better way than I could do.

Seems the Oxium 1.5 youtube video fastly show a nice new white skin . But I can't find it. It's just possible to tuggle between orange and grey skin on the 1.5 version. How to find it ? :?:

Hi Bob,

The ICE skin will be available as soon as we reach the Step 4 of the current Oxium Group buy ( atm step two has been completed, and we're looking for step 3 )

Like the Orange and Rust ( grey ) skins, the new skin will be available via the option menu ( and will need a relaunch once to become the default one )

What you have seen in the video is a static draft overview of the ICE skin. Very neutral and pleasant, we're confident a lot of people will like it and choose it as default )

So probably just a couple of weeks to wait and it will be in the next Oxium minor update, wich will also fix a few bugs.

Thanks :)

And even more with the 1.5 version : You can now perform easily Filter Morphings, adapt the Masks Grooves to any complex shuffles, and non quantized drumloops for examples, make everchanging textures, and even more sophisticated or crazy sequences, while totally controlling them in real time with standard controlers, or enjoy more or less random and sonic accidents :)

I now think of Oxium as one of the most complete and rich sounding Sound Design VA synthesizers, with tons of possible sound explorations. It doesnt compete with a modular like the mighty Xils3, and yet it can do a lot of things that even modulars can't do.

It can sound totally vintage, like your soundbank or the Jupiter 8 soundbank, and yet it can also sound very modern.

Else GB number is now 31 :)

Small new demo with some patches of the Modern Jupiter Soundbank. Actually only two presets, and two parts together with a Battery 3 stock kit. No comps, no EQ, no nothing. General reverb added. ( R2)

I bought Oxium and it is taking my mac pro down CPU wise.
I think there might be a serious bug here?
It is pretty much unplayable for me with random distortion and crackles.

Hi
Could you contact us through our contact web page.
It will be easier to follow up this case.
We don't have support feedbacks regarding such of CPU issues. Maybe there is a denormal problem we didn't notice.
We will check it deeper but some informations we could exchange directly could help us to fix it faster.

Thanks in advance

Best regards
Xavier

Oxium made it in the top 39 MusicRadar users' ultimate soft synth collection

There's a link to the review they made about Oxium too.

( Better to c/p the complete URL to get str8 to the Oxium page, the # seems to be a worry on the KVR link. If you dont copy the url Oxium is in 5th position, so you have to browse until this place )
